ALLIED VAN LINES

Allied Van Lines was certainly in good company as one of the first four carriers chosen to emblazon their moniker on the initial offering of the "Champ of the Road" line. With their bright orange hues, they were the first choice for many a trucking youth due to the color, and also the commonality of the Allied logo. (Who hasn't seen an Allied truck??)

There were very few changes in the three years that the Allied trucks were offered (1976-1978). The only noticable changes were-

*The landing gear changed colors even during same year production runs. The colors were- Blue, red, then white.

*The thickness of the "Allied" lettering on the sides of the trailers. This also occurred during the same year production runs.
