My Bestest Friend's Profile
My bestest friend was born on 22/09/1980 which makes him a Virgo. He lives in the western part of Singapore. His currently taking a degree program with Thames Business School.

His Character
He is an introvert by nature and do not usually approach people for chats or to make friends. When someone approaches him for help or just for a chat, he will glad respond and offer as much help as possible. If he is not able to help that person, he will feel bad. He will also try very very hard to win a person trust and will never ever break that trust bestowed on him. He also treasures friendships a lot and will get very upset if any of his trusted friends quarrel with him or betray him. I remember when he was going to a different class in secondary 3 and only two classmates are following him to the new class. So he felt very sad having to leave most of his friends whom he has known for two years. He is also a perfectionist and an impatient guy. Whatever he wants, he wants it now. So he will willingly spend more money on the things that he coverts than to wait till the price for that item drops.
Childhood

cheeky bestest friend? haha...
He has an elder brother who is eight years older than him. So most of the time he plays on him own. He is very naughty and always bully his brother. He frequently talks to himself as if there is someone talking to him. Maybe he is too lonely as his brother is too old and preoccupied with studies to play with him. So whenever his cousins came over to his house he will be exhilarated and will entertain them with his huge collection of toys. He also likes to design game books and board games. He was inspired by his brother and since made ten over game books but unfortunately many were not completed. His most successful game is named "Taipan" ,which is actually an Apple computer game, as it is into its fifth episode. He love to play Lego and watch cartoons especially Gummi Bears and M.a.s.k( vehicles that are able to transform and not the greenish freak).
He love to read books but cannot stand reading long long novels so all the books he read were short stories or magazines. He have many Bookworm story books and Young Generation magazines. He do not like to read Chinese comics when he was young as he finds them too confusing and boring. The words are all in traditional Chinese characters so he have difficulty reading them. He love to play with toys like Lego and action figures. Last time before the age of computer games and console games, hand held machines were in craze. The most popular brand was "Game and Watch" series. He owned only one of that machine which he soon got tired of it. He loves animals too and his family reared a black rabbit named "Blackie". He also love to read Garfield comics and draw them on drawing paper.
His history
He studied for two years in Henry Park Primary School and was transferred to Xing Nan primary school. Why was he transferred out? IS he that Naughty that the school have to kick him out? No lah he moved house and so his parents chose a school nearer to the new house, which was in fact just beside it. Previously he have to take the school bus to reach his old primary school now he just have to walk or run if he is late. Due to this he has very little recollections of his life in Henry Park Primary School. The remnants of the memory includes catching spiders during recess and buying Yakult from the school canteen for free toys. He also remembers that the school field is being shared by Raffles Girls school.

His friends in Xing Nan Primary school are mostly girls. He often play hopscotch and zero point with them during recess time and after school. But his buddies are both guys. One is Chen Furong and the other is Lionel Lim. Every other day, he will go to Lionel's house to play micro genius and toys. In class, his English teacher always praise him to have an exceptional command of vocabulary. But deep down he knows that Furong his best buddy is way above him in knowledge and gifted talent. He remembers very vividly one day when Mr. Karim, his English teacher, posed a question which stumbled the whole class. The question is "What do you call a person who fish for leisure." My bestest friend thought it was a fisherman but Mr. Karim says a fisherman fishes for a living. An angler is one who fish for leisure. Well I suppose most Primary Two students would be able to answer that question with relative ease. Haha there is indeed a big gulf in difference of standards between now and back then. An avid reader of short stories, he will regularly buy Bookworm books when ever there is a book fair at his school and will also buy game books. He did not do well in his PSLE but was posted to Boon Lay Secondary School which is his first choice school. After PSLE, only Lionel and one other guy went to the same secondary school as him.
This was taken when my bestest friend was in secondary school. Its easy to spot my bestest friend as he sports an ultra big 'old man' glasses and nerdy hairstyle.
This is the place where he discovered his true nature. An introvert one. Sigh. Remember that during his primary school days he plays with girls and boys alike but in secondary school he hardly talk to any girls. Most of his time is spent with his guy friends whom he, sadly, lost contact after O levels. He did not go out on weekends and went home directly after school. So he was never very close with his friends. But in his secondary one and two class there is a very strong bond between classmates so when they have to be separated due to streaming in secondary three. he was very sad. He remembers one girl who is a Virgo cried in class. Then he thought why cry as we will be in the same school mah but later he realized that studying in different classes can seriously weaken the bonds between his former classmates as he do not contact them outside class time. In fact there is hardly any interaction between his secondary one and two classmates after streaming. But fortunately some of his friends are in the same ECA as him. He joined NPCC as an ECA but he actually does not enjoy it much. It was when he was in secondary three, he was promoted to sergeant then things became different. Because he have more control over people and things. He was part of the logistics group which issues equipment. Finally O levels came and he did quite well to qualify for Junior college entrance. So he went to his first choice JC to began A levels studies.
The two major things that happened during this time was the A levels and his first serious encounter with bowling. He is one of the two from his class to go to a junior college. The others went to polytechnics. He remembers that on the first day of school he was alone. He have no friends and that's so sad. Because he is the only one from his class to come to this college and he stares enviously at the groups of friends chatting and laughing happily. Well he made friends soon enough and began lessons as per normal. One feature that JJC has that most other colleges don't is ALL the classrooms are air conditioned. This is because of the near proximity of air bases and aircrafts frequently zoom above the college skies. So Ministry of education installed air conditioners in all classrooms. But with those machines fixed, off goes the ceiling fans. So can you imagine how stuffy it will be in the classroom when the air cons break down, which is very often.
His first serious encounter with bowling began at Taman Jurong Superbowl. That day was the last day of school before the June holidays. So the school have organized a bowling competition at the bowling alley. His friend Andrew Chong ask my bestest friend to accompany him for a warm up. So having nothing to do that afternoon he went. He played two games and went home. He did not stay to watch the competition proper. Subsequently he was beginning to like bowling and often go to Jurong Entertainment center where his father plays. His father bowls in the Wednesday and Friday leagues so my bestest friend will go down there to watch and play after the league finish. One of his father friend asked him if he is serious in bowling and he said yes. So the friend suggested that he learn from a bowling coach. So his father asked Billy Choo to coach him. Billy Choo is the main trainer at that bowling center. So he bought a bowling ball and bowling shoes and bowled till this day. He was under tutelage for only one year before he was enlisted for Army.
As the A levels he did relatively well to get NTU to reserve a place in the school of Engineering for him. But he actually wants to study Business Administration at NUS.
Army

Enlisted for National Service on 21/01/1999. This is the beginning of a long and arduous two and a half years. Initially at Basic Military Training Center at Nee Soon Camp, he wanted to be an officer. But gradually dropped that silly idea as Army is not what he thinks it is. He also injured his heels during a session of SOC training and carried that injury till now. Then he was posted to School of Signals. He was the only one in the platoon to be posted there and luckily he met his JC classmate or he will be alone again. The first day he when to the School, he was told that there is no more space in the current intake and have to take three days leave and join the next intake. So after that, he was trained to be a signaller as a vocation. After six weeks, he was posted to an Armour unit. He went to Australia two times. The first stint he stayed outfield for twenty over days. It was very difficult but his consolation is that he have his friends around. His platoon mates are very close to each other and will not hesitate to help out each other. There is a saying that says" Your true friends are most likely to be your platoon mates because you all went through hardship together."
This is the first time that he feel stressed. Haha. Loads and loads of tutorials and assignments to do and classes start early in the morning till evenings. Life was very hectic but his sweetheart is just across the road and they meet everyday for lunch and dinner. Morning before lesson they will also meet for breakfast. After two semester, he opted out of the school and chose to take a business course instead, as he does not like Engineering.
He is currently in his third semester at the school. His class have only nine people but are all nice people.
