Angel
- Believe in angels Believe in Me
by Jason
Angel asks us to believe in her, and I do for the most part.
The Album starts off slow, which really disappoints me.
I have always loved Angel's first group No-Secrets, so it
was with a great excitement I listened to her new album.
And to be truthful without the other girls her sound feels
like something's missing. If you're not familiar with No-Secrets
Then you won't have this initial disappointment and will
be free to enjoy the album. Saying that, this is not a bad
start in Angels solo career.
The first two song are not bad, just cliched. The title
song is little more than a play on words, asking us to believe
in Angles, I.E., her. This would come off more sincere had
her name not been Angel. It's not until the third song that
our pop addiction is fed, Wild Guess sounds like a lost
track off Britney Spears In the Zone. The rest of the album
is pure pop joy, and like any good singer she leaves the
best for last. Love IS and To Forgive You, arguably the
best songs on the album, and only need minor mixing and
a steel guitar to become country. Had there been more songs
like this on the Album like, it good have been great. This
is only the beginning, she shows great promise as a solo
artist, and I hope that with coming albums she finds her
voice and shows who she really is. Over all, I give the
Album 3 stars.
Good Charlotte
"The Young and The Hopeless"
Released through Epic Records
by Alicia Foote
Good Charlotte is
back with "The Young and The Hopeless" the follow up to
their self-titled debut album released in 2000. This record
is full of the same in your face guitar rifts and awesome
lyrics everyone can relate to.
The album includes
the hit song "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous". Along
with "Emotionless", a heartfelt song for their dad who left
when they were teenagers. "The Day That I Die", full of
teenage angst that we can all understand. "Hold On" is a
song that everyone should hear, with it’s meaningful lyrics
telling someone who is depressed to just hang on and that
everything will get better, a song that will probably help
a lot of people if they listen to it.
No matter who you
are, I’m sure there’s a song on here for you.

Billy
Gilman "Music Through Heartsongs"
Released through Epic Records
by Alicia Foote
The little boy who
amazed us all with his song and album "One Voice" (2000)
is back with his forth album entitled "Music Through Heartsongs".
This album is a little different, though. All of the songs
on this record are based on the poetry of a young boy with
a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy.
You would never guess
that the lyrics on this album were written by a 14-year-old.
With songs such as "It Happened Anyway", a song about his
younger brother dying of the same muscular disease and "I
could…If They Would", about what he would do if they ever
found a cure for his disease. But don’t think this album
is all heartbreak, "The Gift of Color" is an upbeat song,
a praise for, you guessed it, colors. You can still tell
this boy is still just a young boy.
Billy Gilman, now
15-years-old, shows off his amazing vocal range on this
album. Although, his voice has gotten deeper, he still holds
that special gift to make you stop and listen.

The Lizzie
McGuire Movie Soundtrack
by Michelle
It takes a lot for
a CD to stay in my car stereo for more than a month and
this CD meets all of the standards. It must meet the standards
of Radio Disney too because they play 5 of the tracks off
of it already. No matter what your tastes are, you'll love
this album. Whether you're a Hilary Duff fan and can't get
enough of her singing or you're a punk princess that likes
funky tunes from the Cooler Kids, there's something for
everyone. There's even a bit for the parents with Dean Martin
cruning "On an Even in Roma." Some personal faves have got
to be "Shining Star" by Jump5 and "Volare" by Vitamin C.
By the end you'll be dancing around, wanting to play it
again and again. This has got to be the best soundtrack
I've come across in a long time. So go out and buy it now!
And then go see the movie.
