Zak Billmeier grew up in Vermont and Maine, and currently resides in Atlanta, GA. He graduated from Mary Washington College with a B.A. in geography in 1997. At Mary Washington, he was an infielder on the baseball team, the editor-in-chief of the weekly newspaper, and a public address announcer at other sporting events. He is a rabid Boston-area sports fan. Also an active musician, he plays the bass for the little-known Atlanta band The Shadowridge Runners. His interests include sports, music, painting, reading, writing and photography.

Melanie Burkes is a twenty something corporate attorney in Washington, D.C. Much to the chagrin of her parents and all of the banks holding her student loans, Melanie plans on quitting her job as a lawyer as soon as possible, and shall strike out for the wealth of riches that awaits her in the broadcast journalism field. In her spare time, Melanie likes to read current literature, prepare meals for her friends, and plots the overthrow of her current employer.

Sheli Casteel a successful online author and publisher. By day she works for a non-profit law organization as a legal secretary in her home state of Alabama. She is recently married to a very charming man that gives her tons of material to write about in her spare time. Her greatest weakness could only be her need to please everyone if it is in her power to do so. The most important thing in her life is family without whom she would not have the inspiration to write.

Jayne Denker is a thirty something writer who will work on just about any writing assignment, anyplace, anytime as long as it's something nifty associated with pop culture--especially GenX, of course--and/or entertainment. She is actually employed full time as a web content manager but also fills any free time she may happen to find on her hands with freelance writing assignments to offset the "manager" nonsense. Jayne lives with her husband and three psycho kitties (qu'est que c'est) in quite a small lakeside cottage in western New York state. When she's not writing or "managing," she enjoys loafing/watching movies, cleaning up after the psycho kitties, designing web sites, reading, and making magic. Contact e-mail

Brad DeMaagd was born in Sacramento, California in 1976. Mr. DeMaagd currently lives in Michigan, but is planning a move to Oregon in the late spring. Mr. DeMaagd attended Michigan State University where he majored in English, with minor studies in Economics and History. Mr. DeMaagd continues to pursue his goal of becoming an Acquisitions Editor at a publishing house. His past times include watching David Lynch films, NFL football, working on his stories, and reading an ever growing stack of books.

Veronica Gross is a 23 year old graduate student, pursing a degree in Neuroscience. Her many loves include playing oboe, crocheting, writing fiction, and telling people exactly what they should do to be happy with their lives.

Susan Hollis graduated with a degree in Political Science from Oklahoma State University. Her educational background consists of a mixture of studies in both domestic and foreign affairs. She has been an intern for a United States Senator at the US Capitol in Washington DC, where she obtained firsthand knowledge of the legislative process by watching it in action. During her internship, Susan had the opportunity to observe congressional hearings, deal with constituent services, and contribute to legislative research. Ms. Hollis has also had the chance to participate with a congressional campaign for the US House of Representatives.

Jennifer Lofquist is a freelance writer and Gen ‘Xer in Sterling, Virginia. In 2001, she married "the Beloved," bought a house, and supposedly became an adult, though many of her friends would disagree. Her interests are writing, history, cooking, crafting, and her cat Jasper. She is convinced that she would have been able to make Henry VIII a happily married man.
