Deadbeat Sellers and Bidders
|
is a haven for deadbeats, slackers, misers, and con-men. You can see it in their feedback, their shipping charges, and the sometimes blatant fabrication within their item descriptions. I vow to expose these devils of eBay and hopefully ruin their reputations and credibility. No one deserves to get ripped off. I am going to see to it that those that do wear the scarlet letter. Some of these are people I have dealt with. Others have given people I know a terrible experience.
Most of what you will see when you click on the links next to each Deadbeat are the original e-mails sent to me from unsatisfied auction-goers. It is their stories in their own words. Their e-mail address have been ommitted to avoid any harassment.
PLEASE READ THIS!

Have a look at this guy's feedback! Just LOOK! I need not say more.

I am not 'down' with this seller's tactics. His feedback is 'coated' with negatives and neutrals. Someone should go to his 'hood' and 'parka' car on his deadbeat ass. PS: Look at how he responds to feedback. I don't mean to dog people with poor English skills as we are all guilty of mistakes, but his grammar is quite funny.

I received an e-mail submission from ebay user 6778 wherein he tried to report a deadbeat bidder. As you can see in his e-mail, he tried to tell me that the bidder harassed him and asked him for Animal and Kiddie Porn. However, please have a look at the feedback 6778 has left for other people. This is not an isolated accusation on his part; he has accused other people of requesting porn as well. This is an immature use of the feedback forum and he thus landed HIMSELF onto the Hall of Shame! This is the second nimrod in a month to inadvertantly submit himself to my site!

This is by far the weirdest submission to date. This deadbeat actually sent an e-mail to me submitting HIMSELF! Well, actually, he sent me hate mail. But after checking his feedback using his e-mail as my source, he turned out to be a deadbeat. Nice one, loser.

This is a great sumbission. The seller being featured is one of the worst I have seen. He has not one single positive feedback to his name. He has pocketed a total of $680.00 (not including shipping fees) and has not sent out a single item. I hope he and his wife and children are enjoying tainted money. Thief. May he rot.

Yet another waste of eBay's server space and the eBay community's time. It looks like they stopped selling, and not a moment too soon.

Here's a double-shot submission for your consideration. Get a glass of milk and some reading glasses; what you are about to read is a bit long. Enjoy!

I am surprised this guy is in business. He has many positive feedbacks, sure, but if you do the math you'll notice that a large percentage of his feedback profile is negative or neutral. I have had many reports about this guy. His business tactics make him a very iffy seller. Basically, he cleverly leaves shipping costs and methods out of his item descriptions. Then, when you win an item, you get an automated response stating that shipping costs $5.00 and that it could take 3-4 weeks to receive your item. 5 bucks could easily cover priority shipping, yet when you receive your item a month after paying you'll notice he pays less than $1.50 on shipping. Therefore, he is netting an additional $3.50 PER SOLD ITEM! Furthermore, his photos tend to be reprinted or scanned crap-copies. This guy is a total thief. He is one more reason New Jersey is the smelly armpit of America. PS: Look at how he responds to negative feedback. Rather than take responsibility for his ineptness, he responds with name calling. How professional.
UPDATE Please have a look at the feed back he leaves for others. He will generally only leave feedback if it is in the form of retaliation. What a prick, no?
UPDATE The seller finally started listing shipping charges in his lame, short descriptions. Now he charges from $5.00 to upwards of $6.50 for shipping. Yet, he still doesn't tell you he will be sitting around with his thumb up his ass for a month until he decides to send it out.
UPDATE The e-mail address that dm1968 has registered with eBay is INVALID. Another tell-tale symptom of deadbeat seller syndrome.
UPDATE Seriously, but has anyone noticed that he negs bidders even if they have paid him? Give me a break! Is he a child or what?! SWINDLER! Hey Don Martino, Fuck You and your deadbeat seller 'brigade'. Fat Jersey fuck.

Here is a common example of when a seller goes through with his end of the sale, but does so with much antagonization of the promptly paying bidder. The shipment of the item was delayed when the bidder apparently didn't include an item number with the payment, as though his accurate description of the item wasn't enough for the seller. The funny thing is that this seller doesn't exactly have a large amount of items for sale; maybe 100. Am I to assume this guy can't keep track of what he is selling and that he is simply lost without an item number? Am I also to assume that the seller knows his items by number only? "1667890... Ah yes. The Rick Springfield bootleg collection." I doubt it. Conclusion: seller is small-time. And he's a douche.

This is a tough case. A person with 4 negatives to his name is pointing the finger at a person who he had to neg. Yet, I am compelled to side with the accuser, though he has far more negs. You see, the dildo that bidded had many questions about the item but asked them only after he bid and won. Clearly, he should have asked BEFORE he bid. The result was that he refused to pay as the item wasn't to his liking.

This guy's feedback isn't too too bad. What bugs me about this douche is that he used the World Trade Center disaster as an excuse not to pay. Funny.... he lives in California, yet the WTC is in New York. As a New Yorker and as a person who saw both buildings fall with my own two eyes, I find this particular deadbeat offensive.

Another great submission. Check out this guy's feedback. If this guy's story is correct and this dude's kid is the one fucking everyone up, then I know one little 19 year old who needs a severe flogging.

This was a long, silent fucking. The auction ended April 1st, 2001. After receiving the end of auction notice, I e-mailed him with payment details. Two weeks later, I got no payment and ended up sending him a reminder e-mail. A few days after that, I get this . But alas, he never sent payment, never e-mailed again. He just vanished back into the tornado bait, white-trash life he came from. Shine on, you crazy dildo.

To date, this is the biggest, most painful let down of an auction I have ever known. This piece of trash won an item for $41.00 and, after weeks of e-mails, never paid. Worse than that, he never even once responded to an e-mail. There is nothing more empty feeling than having some low-class prick outbid some honest bidder for the sake of blowing off the whole transaction. If there is any justice in the world, gen@traverse.net, wherever he may be, has been beaten into a coma by Skinheads.

Where can I begin? Darren Saldana is by far the laziest, most careless, disrespectful, pieces of shite ever to bid so far. He won an auction and, after receiving my e-mail, asked if he could pay in one week. Being a nice guy, I obliged. 2 weeks later, no money. I repeatedly tried to contact him and he didn't respond. Only when I filed a non-paying bidder claim with did he finally contact me with no reson for his absence. After another lapse of communication on his part, he finally said he sent the money. I did not receive payment until March 30th, after nearly a month of trying to track this loser down. Click here to view a detailed outline of his communication with me, or lack thereof. Note the dates and the gaps in time.

I won one of his auctions on 01/05/2001. Between 01/05/2001 and 01/11/2001, I e-mailed him many times to try to get payment information for the item. As of today, 01/11/2001, I have yet to hear a word from this deadbeat. We were both notified when the auction was over, yet I make the effort with no results. He is clearly online as he currently has more auctions on eBay so there is no excuse for this negligence. Watch out for this lazy bastard

Basically, this guy is completely irresponsible and has no clue about keeping proper records. He waits forever to send a package and, when he gets negative feedback, says the person didn't give the item number or some lame excuse like that. 35 negs all saying the same thing?! I highly doubt, sir, that 35 negative feedbacks, all saying the same thing, is a coincidence. I'd venture to say it is habitual negligence on your part.

A close personal friend of mine was screwed badly by this German eBayer on her first transaction ever. The German didn't receive payment within three days of the auction's close and immediately left negative feedback. Odd. I have never known anything to get to Europe in three days. An excruciatingly impatient and irrational eBayer.
A Random Treatise About Sellers
|
It is a fact that most sellers use shipping charges as a means to garnering a bit more profit at the end of the auction. More often than not, sellers don't even give you a choice of shipping method. They just tack on five bucks and send it out. Sometimes they charge five bucks and say that it is for 'priority shipping, packing, and insurance.' Come on now. How many times have you paid a rather large sum for shipping and have had the item sent out uninsured and via snail-assed regular mail? I am sure it happens more than you think. Some sellers even have their own websites which discuss shipping methods. They do this because they want to be sure that there are understood guidelines as to how they are going to take advantage of you and so you cannot argue with them. A five dollar item is often transformed into a 10 dollar item all because of shipping. To sellers, you better ship in methods which add up to the insane price you make us pay. You are screwing us with shipping charges already, you might as well ease the pain. Buyer Beware! Shipping costs aren't out there to make sure you get your item; shipping costs are out there as a revenue supplement for the seller.

One day, my counter disappeared. It had surpassed the 20,000 hit mark and *Poof* it went away. So today I am adding a counter. The number you see below reflects the number of hits I have received since 12/2/02.
