This guy -Ebay ID- chicagocomputerguy
goes by the name of Ivan Olmo. He has scammed those bidding on his auctions
by not delivering the goods, and then he promises to refund money, even goes
far enough to say it is refunded, but then cancels the refund.(thru paypal)
I have filed a complaint with paypal, but they are taking their sweet time,
because he had the nerve to furnish them with a paypal transaction no., only
to cancel that transaction later.
I'm attaching all the emails we've had.

First one on Nov. 19th, after I said, hey, wheres my software?

This is a general email which I am sending to those of you who've purchased
a software cd from me. I need to apologize for taking so long to ship your
cd's (especially those who were my earliest buyers. The reason why is
because my girlfriend and I were expecting our first child this month.
She'd started getting her birth pains and all that stuff early last week,
and since this was my first child, any little thing that she felt would get
me paranoid. Anyway, after a VERY long hospital stay, my baby son Daniel
was born to us on Sunday, which by miracle or coincidence, is my birthday.
I'm happy that I'm home now, but again, I apologize to you because most of
you paid for your software cd right away. I am home now, getting settled in
with my new child, and I will ship everything that I have to by weeks end,
Thursday or Friday at the latest. I hope you all understand what was going
on with ! me. But I'm back to my "normal" life, and my priority of taking
care of all of you will take over now. If you have any questions, please
let me know. This email also confirms that I have received your payment.
Only those who are in my PayPal account activity are receiving this, because
others have bought from my software cd list but havent paid, and I don't
have any time to try and follow up with them at the moment. Also, please
confirm your shipping information one last time for me. Otherwise, expect
your software within a week. Thanks.

I'm extremely sorry for the delay. You say no excuses, and I DO know
it's been a long time, but my wife has just had our baby after some
complications, then my son developed jaundice, so being with him and my wife
until he got better became number one, not any of the packages I have to
send. All of my other buyers have perfectly understood my situation and
haven't threatened me with complaint filings and refund requests. I do,
however, understand your position perfectly. If you'd like a refund, I'll
gladly give it to you. I won't be able to ship your software CD until
Wednesday at the earliest, though. So it's in your hands. And again,
I apologize for the delay. Get back to me when you have the chance.

I emailed him, it was a poor excuse that I thought in 3 weeks he could've
gotten to the post office, this is his reply, in this one he says he's done
the paypal refund, but guess what, he cancels the transaction later. He's
only trying to buy time.

nothing a dad can do but wait...WITH MY FAMILY IN THE HOSPITAL, not at home
worrying about shipping your cd that can wait. you've got your refund,
paypal takes 3-4 days to take it from my checking account.

please, I am NOT a scammer. If I were, I wouldn't use any of my real
information to sign up and register with paypal or ebay or even hotmail
using my real name. I will refund your money to you as soon as I possibly
can, giving it back is my priority right after my household bills. I am
really sorry for whats happened and you have every right to be mad, but
please, I am not a scammer. File your complaint with paypal or ebay if you wish, but
please, save your FBI for a criminal, because I am NOT ONE

Then I think I got one last email which I deleted apparently, that says he
has to pay his bills first before he can refund the money. He obviously
never had the product in the first place. I also think the girlfriend/baby
story is made up to buy time.
