Windy Plains, Inc. operates several international satellites to provide the best bloodlines possible. Currently, satellites in Germany, Ireland, Argentina and Australia provide top international Thoroughbred bloodlines while our satellite in Poland offers top Polish Arabian bloodlines. Through these satellites the best bloodlines from around the world can be used to provide the best of their respective breeds.
Windy Plains, Inc. has actively raced its Thoroughbreds through the North America Model Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (NAMTOBA) since 2000. Our training branch, Lonesome Prairie Racing, provides the best training for our international racing string. Lonesome Prairie Racing also offers full services to outside parties wishing to race their Windy Plains-bred horses with NAMTOBA.
Windy Plains, Inc. is proud to breed, race and own numerous Champions and multiple Grade 1 stakes winners, as well as exceptional stallions and mares. We are especially proud to announce that our very own Rajan (Bharta x SHADEA) took AUS/NZ Horse of the Year honors in 2007-2008 after an undefeated 2yo campaign. He is his sire's first champion, and WP's first HOTY winner. We are also proud to announce that Acapulco Bay (RED RANSOM x Archapelago) has won 2008 European Champion 2yo Colt honors! Acapulco Bay is a second-generation champion for WP, as his dam was a Champion Older Mare in NAMTOBA during her racing career. Finally, we are thrilled to own and race Dayel (Storm Charmer x Fair Folk), winner of the 2009 NAMTOBA G1 Kentucky Derby. Dayel is a second-generation Derby winner for WP, as his sire won the race during his campagin. Updates on Rajan, Acapulco Bay. Dayel and the rest of our racing stock are always available via email. Because Windy Plains strives to breed only the best and most competitive stock, we do reserve many of our mares' younger years for members of select clubs and organizations.

Due to my schedule, and in the best interest of my Thoroughbred herd in particular, my books are CLOSED to all requests at this time. I will continue to offer select Thoroughbreds and breedings to my Thoroughbred studs at upcoming NAMTOBA auctions and by private treaty. Interested parties should inquire via e-mail.
Because we race our Thoroughbreds in NAMTOBA, we ask that any horses of racing age (2004+) be raced with NAMTOBA, or as sprinters in The Express. All race-age horses for sale by Windy Plains do race in NAMTOBA.
