I did put 2 different batteries in parallel
but I did it “only” because I do know
that the alternator of the vehicle is able to handle
the double current request and has been designed to
charge 2 batteries. Otherwise you cannot do it! I did
put 70Amps fuses on both the positives of the batteries
and also a 80A fuse before the loads.. Yes, Overkill :-),
but
it is better. The cables sections for the batteries
connections are 10mm
at work :-)
Very hot day.. Italian
summer
These are the only kind of
'70A fuses supports'
I found
to connect the 70A fuses
the
very useful gas solder
new battery connectors - ho cambiato
the 2 batteries in the battery box
from the battery box the cables run to
the driver cabin where I put the solar display to controll
everything...this picture is taken under the sink
Ok, from the battery box the cables run to
the driver cabin where I put the solar display to visually
check everything..this picture is taken under the sink
from the battery box and the wardrobe
the cables run to the driver cabin where I put the solar
display controller
This is the cables path
the electrical panel.. the cables
run on the back
the cables end here and pass under the carpet
- ecco dove finiscono i cavi e passano poi sotto la
moquette
..here we are under
the sink
here while passing
the cables under the sink
This is the solar
controller. It displays Solar Watt, Amps, solar volts
and battery volts.. nice thing
the solar display
and the backing sensor
the Westfalia original
control panel is still there, nice stuff
I replaced
the wardrobe reck with abother door made off white methacrylate, very nice
wardrobe door details
and its marine lock
I fitted new speackers
Ok, now we can listen
to the Jefferson Airplane original sounds - Hot Tuna
live & i Grateful Dead.. ;-)
