March 2002

	In March of 2002, Amy and I spent a month taking care of the horses. She brought her boys with her and all our horses had a great time together. All the horses got ridden a lot, and a ton of training was done. There was a lot of falling in the snow involved!
Vantage and Duncan seemed to be joined at the hip that entire month. They still like each other now and they never fight! Amy and I are going to go to the Manitoba Paint Horse Club shows next year. It's a good thing these two like each other, they're going to spend a lot of time together in the future.

Spring 2002

Once the snow melted and spring had finally sprung, everyone started to enjoy the mud!!This is Missy (left), Molly (middle) and Kalli (right) all relaxing in the sun.
We called Vantage "PigPen" for about a month. You wouldn't have known she was a Paint, there was so much dirt on her! I think she likes to get that dirty because she knows I'll always come and clean her up.

Summer 2002

I finally had to put a blanket on her. There was no way she was going to work with me on this. She was getting dirty and there was nothing I could do about it. She'll wear a blanket all summer next year. I don't want any scratches or scuffs for the big shows.
Vantage got to spend a couple of months in a field with Kalli this year. They had a good time together. Every spring, Vantage gets sore stifles and needs to be on flat ground. She is growing out of it now so hopefully by next year she'll be fine, year round!
