THOSE FASCINATING BRAZILIAN RAINBOW BOAS!
Epicrates cenchria cenchria
Welcome to "BRAZILIAN RAINBOW BOAS!" For many snake keepers, the Rainbow Boa is the holy grail to which they aspire. These medium-sized (up to and including six feet) boids from Latin America are quite possibly the most beautifully colored snakes on earth, with a spectacular display of iridescent, multi-colored patterns on a bright orange background. Although they are a bit more defensive than the more common Boa Constrictor, Rainbow Boas tame readily if they are obtained young and handled often. In the wild, they feed largely on nestling birds and eggs, but in captivity they will readily feed on mice and other rodents. They require warm and extremely humid environmental conditions. I have included information that anyone will need to keep a happy and healthy Brazilian Rainbow Boa. Including: general info., their care and husbandry, FAQs, breeding, feeding and nutrition, housing, handling, and much more.
