"The
Challenge" made his WWF 2K3 debut as a body guard for the former
World Champ, Crazy Man. He was scheduled to make his debut in a
tag match with the Crazy Man, but the original handler of the character
backed out. I was left in an awkward situation. I wanted "The
Challenge" Character to go on, but I didn't want to infringe
on what my friend had created. That is where the name Rob Gore came
from.
After
being the body guard for Crazy Man as a wrestler, and as a GM, it
was time for him to make his in-ring debut. Rob Gore made his solo
debut after a normal tag match on the WWF 2K3 Smackdown. Frenzy
and HBK had just beaten the team of Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit.
After the match was over, Eddie's manager, Gail Kim made her way
to the ring to help him.
Then
out of nowhere, and for no apparent reason, Rob Gore attacked the
both of them in the ring. Chris Benoit cut Gore's attack short,
but Rob Gore made his in ring debut in a handicap against Gail Kim
and Eddie Guerrero the next week, where he lost that match.
It
wasn't too long before Rob Gore was tearing ass all over 2K3, eventually
winning the Intercontinental Championship. This will go on to be
the only title that Rob held in his wrestling career.
After
the WWF2K4 closed it's doors "For Good" Rob Gore debuted
in the WWCF. Rob managed to make friends and form a short lived
stable with Hall of Famer, Go-D. Rob's WWCF career was cut short
before he could really get off the ground.
In
early 2005, Rob Gore, who was under the impression that his wrestling
career was cut short, was arrested by police in his home city of
Detroit, MI, for dealing drugs on the streets. He was sentenced
to a very long prison term.
Later
that year, the World Wrestling Empire opened it's doors yet again,
with Vince Mcmahon in charge. Vince Mcmahon paid for Rob Gore to
get out of prison, and as a favor to Mr. Mcmahon, had to repay his
debt by wrestling for him week in and week out. Though, Rob was
a former Intercontinental Champion, he failed to get anything going
in the WWE. After he was knocked out of the Gold Rush Tournament
for the World Heavyweight Title, he got yet another chance to win
back the title by facing Chris Blaze for the title. His dreams were
again cut short when Chris Blaze pinned him in a very close and
gruesome match, thanks to the help of Deciple, who Rob had beat
the month before to get the shot.
A
couple weeks after Rob got screwed for the last time, he was scheduled
to team with Madd Dogg to win a number one contenders match for
the Intercontinental Championship. With Vince Mcmahon in a coma,
Rob didn't see any reason for hanging around to repay his debt,
and he got out of town before the Feds could regain custody of him.
There
is no telling where Rob Gore is right now, and there is no telling
whether he will ever return to the wrestling ring. Only time will
tell if Rob will get another chance at fulfilling his dream of becoming
the World Wresling Empire Champion.
