The Wrestling World Remember's Sensational Sherri

JM: You were a big fan of pro wrestling growing up, who were some of your favorites & influence in Wrestling?

Noel Harlow: Sherri Martel was a big influence on me as a child, as well as Miss Elizabeth. Later on Luna Vachon.

---Noel Harlow has been a Indy Valet since 2002

John Mikels: Thank you for your time to do the interview, how did your start in professional wrestling come about?

Misstress Belmont: Thank you for your interest! I've always wanted to be involved in wrestling. When I was a kid women were typically seen as valets - we never saw women's matches on Saturday morning wrestling. I thought Sensational Sherri was so cool in that she wasn't afraid to mix it up with the men and do what it takes to lead them to victory, so I saw myself in that role. It wasn't until I was much older that I discovered there was a whole female side to wrestling. I didn’t' know wrestling schools even existed until my little brother went to an independent wrestling show and found the man running the show also had a school. He told me about it and we began our training together.

---Misstress Belmont has been a Indy Wrestler since 2006

John Mikels: Who do you admire in wrestling?

Yvonna Leeach: Well I have to say for managers I have to look at the late Sensational Sherri and Miss Elizabeth, we would not be here if not for them. As for wrestlers Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant and Jake the Snake, they sucked me in and made me want to watch the next show. If you had asked me this question a few weeks ago I would have added Chris Benoit. I still admire his ring work and love to watch his fierceness in the ring, but you see you have to be able to draw the line between Benoit the wrestler and Benoit the person. Well I love Benoit in the ring; I find that what the person Benoit did was wrong.

---Yovonna Leeach has been an Indy Valet since 2003

John Mikels: The world of wrestling is Buzzing over the death of Sensational Sherri & the Benoit Family tradgey, what are your thoughts on these untimley situations?
