I have a lot to say about Penny Banner being a wrestling fan for years. Growing up I heard what an amazing athlete this lady was and then when I started reading and hearing about what she went through I thought she was amazing. I watched the documentary from 2004 called "Lipstick and Dynamite" which was a documentary on the ladies of wrestlling from the 1930's-1970's. Hearing Penny tell her story and how she got her start and what she went through being a Women's Professional Wrestler made me admire her even more.

She accomplished so much in her life becoming the first ever AWA Women's Champion which was a huge accomplishment and accomplishing so much in the wrestling world. Then she even got involved in The Senior Olympics after she retired from wrestling and accomplished so much with that. She helped pave the way for all the women that are in wrestling now, but in my opinion she doesn't get the credit she deserves for all that she did for wrestling.

Penny showed her courage in her final years in her battle with cancer and never gave up fighting. I wish I could have met this amazing woman to tell her how much I admired everything that she did in life. She will never be forgotten by all of her wrestling fans.
