24. AL SNOW SHOOT INTERVIEW

a) This is one of the very best Shoot Interviews from one of the most underrated talents in the business. Filmed when he was still in ECW he talks about ECW, SMW, WWF, The New Rockers and all of his failed gimmicks, Vince McMahon, the Head gimmick, Jim Cornette, Dan Severn and more. Tells some great stories about how badly treated he was by the WWF during his first run there. One of my favourite shoot tapes. Things shown on this tape are:-

a) Snow & Lance Storm destroy Shane Douglas & Chris Candido.

b) VS Taz [*3/4]

c) VS Sabu [**3/4]

d) 4/2/95 - VS Chris Benoit [****1/2]

e) Infamous SMW interview alongside Jim Ross and Snow's tag partner Unabomb (now known as Kane), intended to further their feud with the Rock'n'Roll Express. Very controversial as Snow makes fun of Robert Gibson's legitametly deaf mother!!

f) Al Snow & Unabomb destroy Larry Santo & The Wolfman / Rock'n'Roll Express run-in.

g) VS Ricky Morton (scaffold) [1/4*]

h) Snow & Unabomb interview.

j) Interview with Head on a beach, buried neck high in the sand!

PIC RATING: C - sound low but still audible. TIME: 4hr. COMMENTS: A brilliant shoot tape. Well worth buying if you can put up with the bad picture.

546. RICKY STEAMBOAT SHOOT INTERVIEW

a) Steamboat is widely regarded as one of the best workers in the history of the business. He talks about his start in wrestling, working with Ric Flair, AJPW, his first stay in WWF, his various classic angles he’s been involved in, WrestleMania match with Savage, Vince, his time in NWA & WCW, his WWF return, his injuries and much more.

A nice guy with some great stories to tell. Match listing to be added soon.

PIC RATING: A. TIME: 4hr. COMMENTS: One of the greatest wrestler’s of all-time. You owe it to him to watch this tape.

514. HONKY TONK MAN SHOOT INTERVIEW

a) This is one of the most controversial interviews around as Honky (Wayne Ferris) is his usual outspoken self from start to finish. This man is not afraid to speak his mind about ANYONE in the wrestling business!

He talks about his start in the business and his up and down relationship with Jerry Lawler. After telling all about the regions he worked in, he goes on to speak about his move into the WWF and the whole Honky Tonk Man gimmick.

Great stories come fast, we hear about what the locker-room thought about his lengthy Intercontinental Title reign, his feuds with Steamboat and Savage and his problems with the WWF and Vince McMahon.

Finally he gives his thoughts on wrestling today and what he thinks of the current crop of superstars.

I highly recommend this tape, just to hear Honky’s extremely stong views on all aspects of the business and the people in it!

PIC RATING: A. TIME: 4hr. COMMENTS: Another unmissable shoot interview.

515. STEVE ‘DR. DEATH’ WILLIAMS SHOOT INTERVIEW

a) Williams was on of the most popular foreign wrestlers of all-time in Japan, and he has some great stories to tell.

Ofcourse he then tells us all about his long time in AJPW and NJPW. Some great stories on all the top Japan stars such as Misawa, Kobashi, Tsuruta, Kawada etc.

Then he tells us all about his tag-partner Terry Gordy and all the drug problems he had. He finishes off with his time in the NWA and shares his views on the drug and alcohol abuse in the business.

This guy has done it all and it’s great to hear a shoot about the Japanese side of things aswell as the US.

PIC RATING: A. TIME: 4hr. COMMENTS: Very interesting stuff about not only the US promotions, but also the great Japanese ones.

516. RF VIDEO SHOOT INTERVIEW

a) The guys who have conducted all the shoots you have seen before have decided to be interviewed themselves!

Rob Feinstein, Doug Gentry and Gabe Sapolsky tell us all about their love for the business and their time of following ECW from the very start.

Gabe actually used to be Paul Heyman’s personal assistant so he tells some great stories about what it was like working inside ECW. He talks bout the infamous ‘Mass Transit Incident’ and the ins and outs of the company.

Rob then tells us about the growth of RF Video and the impact ECW has had. He tells us stories about why he was fired by ECW and which wrestler gave him a concussion!

All the guys talk about the people in the business they have met. Rob really has a go at some people who he didn’t like and puts over those who were nice guys. They finish off with their fondest memories of ECW and you get an exclusive tour of the ECW Arena backstage area!

308. BRET HART SHOOT INTERVIEW

a) This is a must have shoot in relation to the Shawn Michaels interview I already have, as this is basically Bret’s reaction to that interview!

Bret talks about his family’s wrestling background, his early days in Stampede Wrestling, his time NJPW and his time in the WWF & WCW.

He also tells great stories about the likes of Tiger Mask, Dynamite Kid and of course his history and bad blood with Shawn Michaels.

Bret gives his side of the story and goes into detail into everything, including infamous incidents such as his backstage fight with Shawn and the finish to the 1997 ‘Survivor Series’.

He even talks about drugs in the business and the death of his brother, Owen Hart.

The RF interview with Bret is followed by his appearance on ‘Off The Record’. Basically this is unmissable and is vital to any serious wrestling fan’s collection.

468. BRET HART SHOOT INTERVIEW - VOLUME 2

a) This follows on from the excellent first interview which Bret did with RF Video.

Bret starts from where he left off, talks more about his time in WCW and tells all about why he thinks he was never given a fair chance there and his opinions on Hogan, Bischoff and the appalling way the company was run.

He talks about the infamous ‘Midget Sketch’ on RAW the night after the Montreal screw job before going on to speak about the RAW tribute to his brother Owen.

Amazingly Bret tells the story of how he met with Vince McMahon after Owen’s death - how Vince lied to him and how Vince was miked up with a SWAT team stood around the meeting area as Vince was legit scared that Bret was going to kill him!

He then goes on to speak about his career-ending injury at the hands of Bill Goldberg and tells us what he thinks of Goldberg now!

And, ofcourse, Bret talks about the death of his brother Owen and how the Hart family has been ripped apart in recent years.

Aswell as this he speaks about his classic match with Benoit, Dynamite Kid’s book, his release from WCW, Vince buying WCW and also about the book he is in the process of writing.

No wrestling fan should be without both parts of this interview as it’s a very emotional viewpoint from a man who has experienced many many ups & downs in the wrestling business.

PIC RATING: A. TIME: 3hr. COMMENTS: Yet another riveting interview that any serious wrestling fan should see. Bret has taken some stick over the years, but this interview goes some way to making you realise just how upset he feels over certain issues.

Bret comes across as very honest and I for one have more respect for the man after hearing these interviews.

347. HARLEY RACE SHOOT INTERVIEW

a) A very interesting shoot with the 7-time NWA World Champion.

343. THE ROAD WARRIORS SHOOT INTERVIEW

a) Excellent interview with one of the most popular tag-teams of all time.

Hawk and Animal talk about their start in the business and the wrestlers who they started with. They then go onto their big push in Georgia without actually knowing how to work properly!

They speak about the state of the business today before talking about their move to Japan. The Hellraisers were also formed in Japan and both Warriors mention the total respect which is shown in Japan.

They then go on to talk about their move to the NWA and their scaffold matches. We get their views on the Horsemen and they also tell the story of the first ‘War Games’ match where Hawk stiffed everyone up!

The steroid issue is spoken about before we move onto their time in the WWF.

Simply put, Hawk has ALOT to say about Vince McMahon - "He is the most evil man in the world and I hope I outlive him" - being one of them!!

They talk about their problems with Vince and their troubled time in the WWF including being jobbed out to DX and the infamous ‘Rocco The Doll’ angle.

Hawk then tells us about his fight in Japan with Randy Savage, aswell as the fight between the two which took place at a Kid Rock gig. Hawk gives the real reason as to why he has raised a lawsuit over this incident.

There is much more as we hear their thoughts on Hawk’s ‘drunk gimmick’, Steve Austin, Montreal 97 and Owen Hart’s death.

Both men are really outspoken and don’t seem to care who they upset. For example, Hawk makes reference to a sexual relationship between Shawn Michaels and Vince, whilst Animal makes a nasty reference to Jim Ross’ Bells Palsy condition.

268. SHAWN MICHAELS SHOOT INTERVIEW

a) Unmissable shoot interview from one of my favourite wrestlers of all time. It’s not as long as some of the other Shoots, but Shawn still manages to talk about his early days in the business, his relationship with Marty Jannetty and The Rockers, his move into singles action, his climb to the top of the wrestling world, his retirement and injuries and also his role in the TWA and his wrestling school.

Shawn also expresses his views on Shane Douglas, Mick Foley and explains just what the infamous Kliq/Clique were all about.

And of course Montreal. Shawn gives an excellent account of the entire history of the real feud between himself and Bret Hart. Shawn pulls no punches and talks about it all - from the legit fight in the locker-room to the infamous finish of the ‘Survivor Series 97’ main event.
