CHARACTERS

The three main characters are:

Harry James Potter - a good, young, 'half-blood' wizard. born in Edinburgh, 
Scotland on July 31st, 1980.

HARRY m English - Medieval English form of Henry.. It can also be used as an 
Anglicized form of Hari : (HENRY m English "home ruler" from the Germanic 
name Heimerich) (HARI m = Indian "lion")

He has a snowy owl named Hedwig. Harry's birthday is on July 31st (same as 
the author, JK Rowling) year 1984. or 1980?

Ron Weasley - Harry's friend - a good, young wizard. He has a rat named 
Scabbers. He was born on March 1st, 1980.

Hermione Granger - Harry's friend - a good, young witch. She buys a big cat 
called Crookshanks. (Hermione is pronounced Her-MY-n-ee) Her birthday is 
on September 19th.

Other characters:

Abbott, Hannah - A student in Hufflepuff. She usually wears her blonde hair 
pigtails.

Ackerley, Stewart - A student in Ravenclaw.

Agrippa -A famous wizard found on one of the Chocolate Frog cards.

Aragog - A monsterous spider.

Bole - A Beater on the Slytherin Quidditch team.

Bones, Susan - A student in Hufflepuff. Her grandparents were killed 
by Voldemort.

Boot, Terrence - A student in Ravenclaw.

Borgin, Mr. - co-owner of Borgin and Burkes in Knockturn Alley.

Branstone, Eleanor - A student inHufflepuff.

Brocklehurst, Mandy - A student in Ravenclaw.

Brown, Lavender - A student in Gryffindor. Her best friend is Parvati Patil.

Bryce, Frank - Riddle's 75 year old Muggle gardener who was killed by 
Voldemort.

Buckbeak - A hippogriff, which is an animal (now extinct) which was half horse

 and half griffin.

Bulstrode, Millicent - Hermione Granger’s duelling partner in the second 
year duelling club. Millicent belongs to Slytherin house.

temporary guardian of Gryffindor Tower while the Fat Lady was being 
repaired (after her portrait was slashed)

Cauldwell, Owen - A student in Hufflepuff.

Chang, Cho - A Seeker of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. Harry has a crush 
on her in the 4th book.

Chudley Cannons - Ron's favorite professional Quidditch team.

Circe - A famous witch found on one of the Chocolate Frog cards.
Clearwater, Penelope - A Ravenclaw Prefect and Percy Weasley's girlfriend.

Cliodna - A famous witch found on one of the Chocolate Frog cards.

Crookshanks - Hermione's cat.

Crouch, Barty - Son of Bartemius. At one time he was a prisoner of Azkaban.

Co-Operation.

Death Eaters - Dark Wizards, loyal to Lord Voldemort.

Delacour, Fleur - A beautiful, French girl with long, silvery blonde hair who 
was Triwizard player from the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. Her 
grandmother was a Veela.

Delacour, Gabrielle - Fleur's younger sister.

Delaney-Podmore, Patrick, Sir- Leader of the Headless Hunt.

Dementors - Guards of Azkaban, and at times, Hogwarts. They will suck out your
 soul and leave you to die.

Dennis - A muggle friend of Dudley Dursley.

Derrick - Beater of Slytherin's Quidditch team.

Diggle, Dedalus - A wizard Harry met in the Leaky Cauldron. He also bowed to
 Harry one time in a shop.

Diggory, Amos - An employee for the Department for Regulation and Control of
 Magical Creatures, Cedric's father.

Diggory, Cedric - Captain and Seeker of Hufflepuff's Quidditch team.

Diggory, Mrs. - Mother of Cedric.

Dimitrov - Chaser of the Bulgarian Quidditch Team..

Dippet, Armando - The former Headmaster of Hogwarts.

Dobbs, Emma - A student.

Dobby - A male house-elf that used to work for the Malfoys.

Doge, Elphias - A wheezy-voiced wizard.

Filch, Argus - The Caretaker at Hogwarts and failed wizard. Filch 
hates students and especially Harry or his friends. He has a cat called 
Mrs. Norris.

Finch-Fletchley, Justin - friend of Harry's ~ see Hufflepuff House.

Finnigan, Mrs. - Mother of Seamus.

Finnigan, Seamus - Seamus is a student in Gryffindor house. His best friend 
is Dean Thomas.

Firenze - a young centaur that lives in the Forbidden Forest.

Flamel, Nicolas - Owner of the Philosopher's Stone. Apparently, Nicholas 
Flamel was real

Flamel, Perenelle - Wife of Nicholas Flamel.

Fleet, Angus - A Muggle resident of Peebles who saw the flying car.

Fletcher, Mundungus -A member of the Order of the Phoenix.

Flint, Marcus - The Captain of the Slytherin Quidditch team.

Flitwick Filius ~Professor - Charms teacher & Head of Ravenclaw House.

Fluffy - The three-headed dog who loves music.

Fortescue, Florean - The owner of the Ice cream parlour in Diagon Alley.

Fridwulfa - Hagrid's mother, who was a giantess.

Moody, Alastor - Retired Auror hired to teach Defence Against the 
Dark Arts in Harry's fourth year. Known as 'Mad-Eye Moody' since he lost 
an eye in the fight against Voldemort and his supporters, and replaced it 
with a magical eye. He is badly scarred and has a wooden leg.

Mostafa, Hassan - Acclaimed Egyptian Chairwizard of the

completely bald and has a huge moustache.
