Alucard: Famitsu.com, amidst discussions of the upcoming Game Boy Advance title Castlevania: White Night Concerto, today dropped another hint pointing toward the development of a Castlevania title for PlayStation 2.
Series Producer Koji Igarashi (or just IGA-san to his friends) noted that "If many fans speak out, I want to work on development for PlayStation 2 in various forms."
We look forward to the potential confirmation of ages of rumors at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo.
Alucard: Unfortunately, there isn't much data available at this point on Harmony of Dissonance (AKA White Night Concerto.) The game stars Jeust Belmont, apparently a descendent of Sypha and Trevor from CV3, who must make his way into Castlevania in order to save his friends Maxim Quishin and Liddy Erlanger. Accordingly to interviews with the producer, Dracula will not be the primary bad guy in the game.
Gameplay details are scant, other than the fact that it will be very much like Circle of the Moon. The DSS system will not be present, replaced with a new system of power-ups. Apparently, the display will also be made brighter, making it easier to play than its predecessor.
This new game is due out June 6th in Japan, with a tentative American release date of July 30th.
