2007-2008 Goals and Objectives HAWKS Service Unit:

PROGRAM
Provide
programming that develops girls’ values and skills; meets their needs and
interests; and is viewed by the membership and community as having the
highest standards of excellence.
Objective(s):
The HAWKS service unit will increase the number of girl community service
projects from 3 to 4 for the 2007-2008 Girl Scout year.

GIRL MEMBERSHIP
Create and deliver a Girl Scout experience that meets or exceeds a 17%
market share and a 70% retention rate of the girl population while achieving
a member population reflective of council demographics.
Objective(s):
The HAWKS service unit will increase the number of daisy girl scout troops
from 3 to 4 for the 2007-2008 Girl Scout year.

ADULT MEMBERSHIP
Create and deliver a Girl Scout experience that increases and diversifies
adult membership, and implement ways for adults to have a lifelong
affiliation with Girl Scouts.
Objective(s):
The HAWKS service unit will increase the number of adult girl scouts to
include a leader and co-leader in each troop for the 2007-2008 Girl Scout
year.

FUND DEVELOPMENT
Diversify
funding sources and substantially increase contributed income to assure
long-term viability for a vibrant council.
Objective(s):
The HAWKS service unit will increase the number of Girl Scout sponsorships
for the 2007-2008 Girl Scout year.

COMMUNICATION AND MARKETING
Convey a compelling, contemporary image of Girl Scouting that inspires
girls, families and communities to support and participate in the council.
Objective(s):
The HAWKS service unit will increase the number of Girl Scout articles in
the Times-Villager from 4 to 5 for the 2007-2008 Girl Scout year.
