I received my marathon CD's couple days ago. Tracks 7 and 8 on volume 2 are my selections: First one is one of my favorite a Turkish rock group called "Mor ve ötesi" (in english, this would be "ultra and violet"). This particular song is called "Hayat" (Life, in english). This is their 2001 album titled "Gül kendine" (Laugh at yourself). Produces by "ada müzik" and distributed by universal. The group has a web site: www.morveotesi.com Second selection is actually two tracks out of an album titled "groove alla turca" by the famous turkish percussionist Burhan öçal and bassist Jamaaladeen Tacuma. The first track titled "I can feel it" is only 29min and features Natacha Atlas on vocals. The second track is titled "Katibim", which is actually an arrangement of a very old turkish song. The rap vocals belong to Songül Aktürk (aka. Sultana) who currently lives in San Francisco. Produced by Rh Pozitif music under label of Doublemoon in 1999. ~ Faud
