Schools Just Aren't The Same
Schools Just Aren't The Same
I awoke on a cold Friday morning
Then hurried to dress and meet with a friend
With whom I discussed the high school shooting
We hoped this wasn’t the start of a trend.
Unfortunately, our hopes were shattered
When we learned our school received a bomb threat
We stood outside and shivered and wondered
Is this just a joke, just to make us upset?
School is a safe place where kids go to learn
Bombs at school are the least of my concern
This is something everyone use to say
Well, of course, right up until yesterday.
A bomb at school...it just doesn’t sound right
So then why must we run from school in fright?
