Now I Know the Real You

Before i knew the real you,
I thought i was in love and had no clue.
I used to think about you every night and day,
Never knowing that later on there would be a price to pay.
I fell for you so many times before,
And crying over you seemed like a chore.
I was hurt and never paid attention to how much you broke my heart,
And deep down inside i told myself that we would never part.
Until one night when you hurt me so bad,
It was the night of the big dance, and I left there so sad.
I finally realized that i had enough of hurt and pain, And finally noticing that i was insane.
I told myself that i would never do it again,
And time helped my heart to mend.
As days went by,
And never having to worry about when I will cry,
I feel so much better because i have someone else,
And he will never hurt me because he loves me for myself!
