Forget Me

many times I tried
Forget all the times I giggled when your
hand brushed across my face
Or when I was crying you took the tears away

Silly little phrases that meant so much right then
Now they don't seem so special they seem to
slip away into thin air
In a puff of smoke the magic disappeared and drizzled away from us.

One too blind to see it ending
and one who never could grasp it.
I'll never wear that ring around my finger
or hear your gravely morning voice again.

This sad time will pass I'm sure, as they all do
It seems hard without you,
the days get longer and colder.
Winter never seems to end.
