A Little Girl I Saw Today

A little girl I saw today,
That never knew what it was to play.
She didn’t know the meaning of fun,
Or even how to love someone.
In her own, few short years,
She has shed so many tears,
That on this day though she tries to cry,
Her big blue eyes are always dry.
All she needs to end her heartache,
Is someone willing her hand to take.
And lead her from this pain and strife,
To her rightful innocent life.
But no one comes to take her hand,
So she will stay in this dark land.
Waiting patiently for that great day,
When angels come to take her away,
To her beautiful home in heaven above,
Where she will finally have someone to love.
