GENERATIONS
Henricus MEILER, of Straberg, was married to Christine KENGEN / KINGERING. I know of one son, Wilhelmus (see below).
Wilhelmus MEILER, of Straberg, married Agnes RENDERJAN (born 21 Apr 1711, Rommerskirchen), on 16 Feb 1740, in Rommerskirchen. I know of two children: Gertrudis (born 19 March 1740) and Henricus (see below).
Henricus MEILER was born on 31 Jan 1742, in Rommerskirchen, and christened on 02 Feb 1742, in Rommerskirchen. Henricus married Anna Margaretha SCHNEIDER (baptized 1751), of Volmerswerth, on 01 Mar 1778, at Sankt Dionysius Katholisch, in Volmerswerth, Rheinland, Prussia. Anna Margaretha was the daughter of Christian SCHNEIDER and Anna Maria ENGELS. Heinrich & Anna Margaretha MEILER had seven children. They were: Johann (Joannes )Wilhelm Dionisius (see below); Wilhelmus (christened 27 Jan 1781); Anna Maria (christened 28 Jan 1784); Maria Odilia (christened 26 Jun 1786); Petrus (christened 01 May 1789); Odilia Catharina (christened 20 May 1792); & Petrus Joannes (christened 20 May 1792 - twin of Odilia Catharina).
Johann (Joannes) Wilhelm Dionisius MEILER was baptized on 12 Jan 1779, at Sankt Dionysius Katholisch, in Volmerswerth, Rheinland, Prussia. He married Maria Gertrud THUMJAN (of Hamm Bei Düsseldorf), on 09 Feb 1814, in Duesseldorf Stadt, Rheinland, Prussia. Maria Gertrud THUMJAN was the daughter of Wilhelm THUMJAN and Anna Sophia HILGERS. Johann Wilhelm & Maria Gertrud MEILER had five children: Balthasar (born 16 Dec 1814; married 09 Feb 1841 to Eva SASSEN); Wilhelm Heinrich (born 27 Aug 1817; married 07 Feb 1845 to Anna Rosa KUPPERTZ); Gertrud (born 30 Jan 1819); Leonard (born 16 Sep 1822); & Wilhelm (born 20 Nov 1823 - see below). All of the children were born in Duesseldorf Stadt.
Wilhelm MEHLER was born on 20 Nov 1823, in Duesseldorf Stadt, Rheinland, Prussia. He married Gertrud MEUTHER / MEUTER (born 31 May 1824), on 19 Apr 1850, in Duesseldorf Stadt. Gertrud was the daughter of Adam Joseph MEUTHER and Catharina Gertrud ENGELS. Wilhelm & Gertrud MEHLER had five children: Gertrud (born 1850; married 15 Oct 1869, to Heinrich RASPEL); Adam (born 18 Dec 1851); Christina (born 24 Dec 1853); Elisabeth Anna (born 04 Aug 1855); Christine (born 08 Jun 1857); Maria Anna (born 02 May 1859); Helene (born 29 Sep 1860); Wilhelm (born 03 Mar 1862); & Leopold (born 10 Mar 1866). All of the children were born in Duesseldorf Stadt.
Elisabeth Anna MEHLER, a Catholic from a wealthy family, was born on 04 Aug 1855, in Duesseldorf Stadt, Rheinland, Prussia; and died 19 Nov 1939, in Yonkers, New York. Elisabeth met & fell in love with Johan (John) HORN, a Humanist & a Cabalist (a Jewish mystic sect), from a poor family. Both of their families were against their marriage, so they eloped & came to the U.S.A. on their honeymoon. (Photographs)
