Welcome come in and meet some of our guides learn a little about some of the many people who make up Kawakanum Kennels




Rhae-An Bury

Rhae-An had a dream. A dream you venture the wilds behind a team of dogs like in the footsteps of her family and now she loves to teach and pass in this amazing winter time sport. The owner of the kennel Rhaea-An still tries to get out on the trails with every visitor to the kennel.Rhaea-An Always has time to sit and chat and talk about the dogs the sport and help answer any questions you have.

Collette Cullen

Collette has been with our kennel for the past 7 years. She is ex-military, an EMT-A and is employed within the OH&S profession in the oil and gas industry. Collette often assists in teaching "Mushing 101" courses. Her passion is snow and sledding, and our kennel has become her second family. She is on the board of directors for our rescue operation here at Kawakanum Kennels and has a love of all things outdoors. size



Suzanne Bury

Suzanne has just started to guide for us but has a wonderful way with the animals. Suzanne works full time but she still takes every free moment to help at the kennel and guide people with a wealth of information on the area and trails

Kelley Havinga

Kelly is a newer addition to Kawakanum's family but has really burst her way into the sport she works her magic through the trails and is a important member in Teaching our Mushing 101 course We love having her around and the dogs love running with her.
Bio
~17 yrs old
~entering university
~plan to persue Veterinary school
~dogsledding for 2-ish years (started in Mushing 101 course)
~serve as 'practical applications' and handler in Mushing 101
~beginning to guide on tours ~Love dogs, and always have (afraid of cats- making Vet school a lovely choice)
