About Moraine Restoraine Inc.™
MORAINE DESTRUCTION IS SELF-DESTRUCTION!
Please refer to the advertisement on page 8 of the copy of The Liberal, which I have enclosed as part of my CPT.
Moraine Restoraine Inc.™is a very unrealistic, fictional organization, made up by me. They have come together to attempt to restore parts of the Oak Ridges Moraine.
When major developments on the Moraine take place, Moraine Restoraine ™
is there, trying to take as many pieces of the land away, before the developers pave over it. They then turn to the public, in hopes that people will give up their own personal property to make room for the pieces of the Oak Ridges Moraine. For example, they may collect pounds of soil, gravel, and mud from a soon-to-be-paved wetland, then dump it all in someones backyard, hoping that Mother Nature will transform the materials into a natural water filteration system. Or, they might herd up the animals living in a forest, which will be clear cut, and create a new habitat for all of them on someones front lawn!
As you can see, Moraine Restoraine Inc.™ tries their best to help restore the Moraine, even though some of their techniques might not be very helpful. Some examples of REAL Moraine restoring organizations are: volunteers from Oak Ridges Moraine Land Trust, and the Oak Ridges Moraine Foundation.
