Master Timothy Clyde


Master Clyde is the sole owner and chief instructor of Clyde's Karate. He began His training on June 1st, 1983 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey under the guidance of William F. Ginyard, Sa Bom Nim. One June 1st 1986 he received is 1st Dan Black Belt and began assisting in Master Ginyard's classes. For the next ten years, until 1996, Master Clyde endured a demanding apprenticeship at the Ginyard Achievement Center assisting in class teachings six days per week with the ability to instruct formal black belt classes. He was elected president of the Ginyard Achievement Center's black belt club on numerous occasions. In 1996, Master Clyde relocated to Inwood, West Virginia. He continued his development in the Art at home and by traveling back to New Jersey. In the spring of 2001, he was invited by the Technical Advisory Committee of the United States Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation to participate in the Ko Dan Ja testing (an eight day intensive test for Master level). Upon promotion and certification of fourth Dan Master, he began developing the idea of Clyde's Karate. In August of 2002, Clyde's Karate was born. He currently has sixty students enrolled in classes varying in the ages of three years old and up. Master Clyde is happily married to his wife, Brooke, (owner of Hair Central located within Clyde's Karate) and a proud parent to his newborn daughter Jadyn Sydney!






Assistants




Scott Kidwell

Scott began his training on August 22, 2002. He is the most senior student at Clyde's Karate. Currently he is in the first Dan preparation period, and is testing for first Dan this spring. He is also one of the studio's premier Jo Kyo (certified assistant instructor). Scott is an employee of Kip Erosion Company. Scott is happily married to his wife Lecia, and has a toddler son named Taylor Scott.

Cheyenne Simpson

Cheyenne Simpson began her training on September 7th, 2002. She is the second most senior student at Clyde's Karate. She will be testing for her first Dan this spring. Cheyenne is also one of the studio's first Jo Kyo. She is an honor student at Mussleman Middle School and enjoys playing piano in her spare time. Her long term goal is to become a pianist.

Alexandria Hersom

Alex began her training on September 23rd, 2002. She is the third most senior student at Clyde's Karate. She is also the senior member of her family, holding rank over her father and two younger sisters. She assists in tots and childrens class and has begun her studies for 1st Dan. She is an honor student in the 5th grade and enjoys being the oldest of 4 girls. Her long term goal is to become a karate instructor, artist, and archeologist.

Pat Keenan

Pat Keenan started his training in April of 2003. He is 14 years old.

Brittney Herold

Brittney Herold is 16 years old and in high school. She started training in Soo Bahk Do on June 10th, 2004. She is currently training for Jo Kyo. Her life goal is to go to college and open an activity studio and teach karate.
