"HEY MILO"
A Pointless Speech-attack Game by D and Company
[Printer Friendly Format]

Part 1: "Hey Milo"
A game of "Hey Milo" begins when someone calls out, "Hey Milo", while their victim (the potential "Milo") is not looking. The person who shouts this is a "Snapper". The snapper's objective is to get the potential Milo to look towards them, which will (in theory) make them an official Milo. To seal the officiality, the Snapper must call out "Oh Snap" after the Milo looks at the Snapper.

Part 2: "That's My Name" - The Counter
After being targeted by a Snapper, a potential Milo may choose to respond with "That's My Name, Don't Wear it Out". This can be started before looking at the Snapper, as long as it's finished while looking at the Snapper. If pulled off, and undisputed, this serves as an effective counter, reversing the Milo attack on the Snapper and making them the Milo.

Part 3: "Snapping Turtle" - The Counter-Counter
If a Snapper is counterattacked, but has already said "Oh Snap", they may choose to finish it with "-Ping Turtle", creating a full sentence of "Snapping Turtle". This makes the original potential "Milo"'s journey to Milodom complete, and guarantees victory for the Snapper... or DOES IT?!?!

Part 4: "Already Fed It" - A Triple Counter?!
For the quick-witted potential Milo, there is always the chance of a triple-counter. You must shout, almost immediately after the "Snapping Turtle" shout is complete, "Already Fed It". Having already fed the turtle, you are now immune to the Snapper, and your victory over them is final and unable to be overturned. OR IS IT?!?!?!?!

Part 5: "That's Not Turtle Food" - A Quadruple Counter?! IMPOSSIBLE!!!
No, it's possible - but ONLY if the original potential Milo is holding something! If they are, for example, holding an egg, you (the Snapper) must shout "Egg's Not Turtle Food". This is the ULTIMATE COUNTER, nearly impossible to pull off but even more impossible to counter. If you can pull a "that's not turtle food", the game is over - you're the ultimate winner.

REMEMBER: if any of these counter-attacks cannot be pulled off, whatever they were meant to counter succeeds, deciding the winner. The loser is always the ACTUAL Milo, though not always the POTENTIAL Milo.

Part 6: After Victory
A suggested victory dance is a little something we call the "Mr. L Fist Pump", performed simply by pumping one or both fists back and forth at blinding speeds, accompanied by cries of "I got you, Mr./Mrs./Ms. [Insert Name Of Victim Here]". If you are a bystander, or even the unlucky Milo, you may wish to reward the victor: with vows of honor, cash, or even cowrie shells.

POINT SYSTEM!
This is an optional add-on to the game in most cases, but it is mandatory online. For every step a person continues a Milo match, they are awarded with another Milo point. In regular matches, these are basically useless, but on the online message boards (in the Milo Arena section), they allow you to progress in your poster status and gain more priveledges.

MORE ABOUT ONLINE MATCHES:

To play a match in the Milo Arena section of our message boards, you must post a topic with a title containing both "Hey Milo" and your victim's name. If I wanted to start a match against a member named "FunkyFace12", for instance, the topic would be: "Hey Milo - FunkyFace12", or alternately "I'm comin' atcha, FunkyFace12, with Hey Milo", or whatever kind of order you want. The topic's initial contained text must be "Oh snap". Now the potential Milo may counter however they see fit, and the game proceeds normally. Whenever an action or condition is necessary for a match's continuation, the contestants simply assume that it was performed offline. After one contestant is victorious, the other contestant must not continue to post in that topic. Old matches will be locked/deleted after their completion. (And yes, you are allowed to tag on extra messages as the game goes on. For example... "That's not turtle food! ALRIGHT! I'm gonna pump my fist Mr. L style!")
