About Tuggeranong Presbyterian Church
We are a Christian Church that seeks to follow Jesus and make Him known to others. We believe that God has reached out to us all in Jesus, that through Jesus' death and resurrection God enables us to know Him personally. We believe the Bible to be where we find out the truth about ourselves and God, and so we seek to apply this to our lives.

Family Church
We are a family church, everyone is welcome including children. We welcome children to sing with us, to pray with us and to listen with us. We have a special children's spot in our meeting. During school terms parents may send their children out to a children's program called KFC (Kids for Christ), or keep their family together for the whole service. If a young child needs attention during the service, there is a "cry room" where the service is broadcast. A creche operates during the main talk.

Membership
Our membership is made up of about 50 families, including about 60 children. The largest age group would be the 30 to 40 group, but we include all age groups from a few months up to the eighties.

Minister
We have been looking for a full-time minister to serve in our congregation over the past year. Our previous minister, Tim Abbey, moved to serve in the Bathurst Presbyterian Church after five years with our church.  A graduating student Mike Pittman and his wife Kerry and son Harrison have been appointed as an "exit" student for next year (2003).  We have met and shared with Mike, Kerry and Harry several times now and look forward to their arrival.

Style
Our style could be called contemporary evangelical and fairly informal.  You can see a sample program for our Sunday meetings
here .  Usually our Sunday meetings are led by an elder with various members of the congregation reading, praying and speaking to the children.   Usually the minister (pastor) presents a message for about 25 minutes.  Sometimes invited guests and members of the congregation may present the message.

Music
We use a mix of contemporary Christian songs and more traditional ones.  We have a band and we use piano. For more details about our music look
here.

Ministries & Program
Our church ministries include bible study, prayer meetings, mission support, crisis care, Kids for Christ, MOPS ministry to mothers, youth group, boys club, women's fellowship, and scripture in schools. For more information about our ministries look

Bob Allan who can be contacted on 02 6292 2509.

Affiliation
Tuggeranong Presbyterian Church is part of the Presbyterian Church of Australia. The most important source of belief for the Presbyterian Church of Australia (PCA) is the Bible. The PCA officially understands the Bible according to teaching contained the Westminster Confession of Faith, a document written in 1646.  Members of the church are not required to believe the Westminster Confession and it does not feature strongly in the day to day life of the church like the Bible does. Leaders in the church are expected to accept the Westminster Confession, but they are also allowed their own opinion on matters that are not considered essential to salvation.

Website
Our website is maintained by a member of our church and uses a free hosting site to minimise expenses. Unfortunately this means we have to put up with advertising as the 'cost' for using this site. We do not endorse any of the advertisements that appear while accessing our site. The graphics on the homepage represent the history of salvation, namely Creation, Fall, Promise, Birth of Christ, Atoning Death, Resurrection and Second Coming.
