A Horse Called Gypsy

A Horse Called Gypsy

We didn't know how much interest our daughter (we'll call her Linda) would have in taking care of a horse and we didn't want to invest a lot of money, so when Linda found one advertised in the newspaper (very cheap) we decided to give her a chance to prove her promises. The people had not taken very good care of the horse (Gypsy) and she looked like a nag!

Everyone who laughed, as you are probably doing right now, were soon surprised with the accomplishments Linda made through her brushings, bathing and tender loving care that she gave Gypsy. Gypsy was only green broken and with excercise, training and patience, although the initial price was $150, Linda was offered $1,000 for the horse because Gypsy turned out to be a "Walker" and gave a really smooth ride!

This was probably close to 15 years ago and Linda was left with wonderful and lasting memories of her teen years. Such good memories, she has bought a horse for her daughter in hopes that she can enjoy some of the same memories.

In memory of "Gypsy's Rose" killed by a drunk driver who swerved off the road and into the ditch that she was being ridden.
