Attendance at lectures and Discussion sections is crucial for success in this course. Exams are based both on the readings for the course and lectures. Lectures contain material not necessarily covered in the readings. You cannot do well on the exams without attending lectures and taking careful notes. Discussion sections are mandatory since you must work on your group project during that time (30% of your grade).
