Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1943

MERCEDES PEARSON, 78, of Brownfield, passed away on September 5, 2004. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, TX. Ms. Pearson was born on March 29, 1926 in Ranger, TX to Vera Blair & Lee Roy Pearson. She graduated from Ranger High School. She attended Texas Christian University and Nursing School. She moved to Brownfield around 1965. She worked at Brownfield Hospital for over 30 years retiring in the 1990's. She was a member of the Brownfield Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by two sisters, Lynn Heath (RHS-1943) and Electra Pearson (RHS-1939); and two brothers, Champ (RHS-1951) and Lee Roy Pearson, Jr. (RHS-1941). She is survived by a sister, Beth Cosper (RHS-1949) of Odessa, TX; and seven nieces and nephews. Lee Roy Pearson PARENTS: LEE ROY & VERA BLAIR PEARSON were longtime Ranger residents. He was an attorney and oil man and had offices in Ranger, TX. He was born on Dec. 2, 1886, and died October in 1966. She was born in 1897, and died on January 11, 1991. They are buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger. They were very active in community, civic, church and social life in Ranger. They had two sons and three daughters, Lee Roy Pearson (RHS-1941), Larry Champ Pearson (RHS-1951), Electra Pearson (RHS-1939), Mercedes Pearson (RHS-1943), Lynn Pearson Heath (RHS-1943), & Beth Cosper (RHS-1949).
