They are a long way from Bay City, lost in the wilderness and in dire straits, but can they trust each other enough to survive? That's the dilemma that Jake and Paulina find themselves in, after a shocking turn of events at Carl and Rachel's wedding results in them being abducted and left to fend for themselves in the middle of God's country (being shot on location in the wilderness of Upstate New York). Trouble starts when Jake comes to New York (where Carl and Rachel are getting married) to say that he knows who is behind the threats to Carl. Unfortunately, Jake never gets the chance to say what's on his mind because he and Paulina are both conked on the head and wake up the next day stranded together, a million miles from civilization. "I think it's a place to rekindle a new road to their relationship," says Judi Evans (Paulina). "Sort of, the two of them against the world kind of thing. I think it will make for high drama." Evans says that Paulina never really stopped loving Jake. "He has always been there, in the back of her mind, even if she didn't want to admit it. She'll always care about Ian, but in a different way. She needs someone like Jake. Jake is the only man who ever really understood Paulina." # |
