Summary: Silly, fluffy drabble. Dawn comes home to some unexpected and colorful fun.

Dawn walked gingerly into the house just before dusk. She’d been expected home hours ago. She walked into the living room, already cringing from the anticipated lecture, and stopped short.

“Spike? What’s going on?” The vampire put down the big bowl of popcorn and picked up a DVD case.

“Bought time, pet. We‘re having a movie night.” He handed her the case, settling on the sofa. “Hit the lights and come get comfy.”

“Yellow Submarine?”

“It’s mine. It’s new.” Dawn sat as he picked up the remote.

“You have a DVD player?”

“Borrowed it. From the Watcher.”

“But Giles doesn’t have-”

“It’s late, pet. Enough questions. I want to watch.”

“A cartoon? With the Beatles?”

“The Beatles are all right,” Spike huffed, hitting play on the remote.

“For a bunch of old guys,” Dawn smirked. Spike merely grunted. The movie started, and Spike sighed happily.

“Love those Blue Meanies.”
