The Tableview LEOs have recently been involved in a number of projects.

They have been :

Athlone School for the Blind

We have been involved in a number of projects at the Athlone school such as fixing up their playground (painting the slides, putting up swings), an Easter party for the children and entertaining them. Click here to see photos.

Ryberg Old Age Home

At Easter this year we went to visit the Ryberg Old Age Home to entertain the old ladies there. This was a district project and was also attended by other LEO clubs in the district. Click here to see photos.

The Farm

We are currently also involved with the Foster Farm in Tamboerskloof, Cape Town. The farm is currently home to children who have previously been neglected. However the owner, Andre, is currently battling with the council as they want the animals (pigs, goats, sheep) to be removed.

SANCCOB

In June this year, the ship Treasure ran into trouble off the coast of Cape Town. It sank and leaked tons of oil into the sea. The resulting oil slick has affected the penguin populations in the area and SANCCOB is currently working to clean the penguins and release them into cleaner waters. We volunteered our services to feed and clean the penguins.
