Sonny & Carly & Jason #1  September 1 - November 8, 1999: 8 Hour original edit

Carly tells Bobbie her trip to Hawaii with AJ and how she thought about Jason all the time. Bobbie tells her about her 'Jason' named Roy DeLucca (who is coming back as A Martinez). Carly asks what happened to him and Bobbie tells her that he died.

Liz and Jason end up talking again and he tells her what it was like to be a father. She tells him she would like to see him with his son but he says he doesn't see him anymore. Liz says well at least you can hear about him and see him from a distance and maybe someday, you know.

Benny comes to see Jason and Sonny but only Jason is there. Benny tells him that he sees Sonny is distracted like he was after his wife died and that Jason is taking charge, just like he did then. Jason tells him that he is going to believe that he is the only person Benny would ever say what he just said to, and if he hears he has been talking to anyone else he will pay him a visit and he will not be reasonable. Sonny comes back and gets a bit upset that Jason did the meeting without him. Jason said Benny had another meeting and he told him what to do. Sonny is a bit put out. Jason tells him that he did ask him a long time ago, when he was with Brenda, that if he ever saw him making bad decisions to tell him. Sonny says “well it looks like he did his duty as a friend”. Sonny tells him he loves Jason and thinks of him as a brother, but that does not give Jason the right to run his business or his life.

Carly catches up with Sonny outside of Kelly's and asks him if he was ever going to call her, he asks why would he call her, didn't you get my messages she asks. He said yes but he was away and besides that where would she get the idea he was going to report back to her about his best friend. She says maybe the same place I got the idea that you are more than a good wardrobe. She asks him if she is doing the right thing by staying away from Jason, he says yes, Jason is ok of course he misses Michael. She asks if that was so hard, just 3 or 4 lines, she needs help to stay away from Jason. Then she starts in on Hannah, thought he had wised up to her, Sonny tells her she is going to get into trouble with him like she always does if she doesn't mind her own business. Carly goes inside and talks to Bobbie, who cannot figure out what difference it makes to Carly whether Hannah went away with Sonny or not. Bobbie tells her that someone may need to reach out a hand and help Jason but that person cannot be Carly. Jerry comes to get Bobbie for their date and him and Carly exchange a few barbs.....doesn't he even know how to say hello how are you she asks.....he says only when the answer matters to him.

Hannah and the "ex" are talking in an alley, he says she cannot disappear without a trace, she tells him he is going to ruin everything for her. Carly just happens to be walking by and hears this. She tells Hannah that if he doesn't she would be happy to. Carly and Hannah has words. Carly tells her that the free ride with Sonny ends today. Carly goes to find Sonny and gets Jason instead. She tells him she is just looking for Sonny to tell him something, he lets her in and says she better tell him and starts naming names as to who it is about. Carly said it is not one of the guys but Hannah, and then tells him what she saw and heard.

Carly is at Jason's trying to convince him that she has "caught" Hannah in the act. She saw the little tramp in the alley whispering into her ex-boyfriend's ear that he was going to spoil everything. Carly tells Jason that she is sure it was the same guy that Sonny threw through the window at Kelly's. She gleefully tells Jason that she is right and he knows it. She wants to know what he is going to do about it. Jason tells Carly that she heard a conversation between two people in an alley. Carly asks if Hannah puts a drug in the pasta to keep Jason and Sonny from hearing the lies. Carly laughs and says that if Jason won't tell Sonny that his girlfriend is a cheating slut, than she will just do it herself. As she starts to walk away, Jason gently grabs her arm and pulls her back. He asks Carly why she is so suddenly interested in Sonny and Hannah. Carly says that she knows Sonny better now and way deep down he is a decent guy. He deserves better than Hannah. Jason says that she cannot throw herself between Sonny and anyone, especially a woman. He tells Carly to leave it alone. Carly is sure that Hannah has a hidden agenda. She thinks that something is way off. Jason says that he isn't in charge of Sonny's love life, but he admits that he does have some concerns. What he thinks doesn't matter though. Carly can't believe that Jason isn't suspicious. Jason tells Carly that what he does and what he thinks isn't her concern. She should be thinking about her life with AJ and Michael and not worrying about Hannah. Appearing to accept that nothing can be done about Hannah, Carly leaves saying that at least she tried. Once outside of the apartment, Carly stops and says to herself that if she wants something done right, she has to do it herself.

Carly goes to Hannah's and "breaks in" when she confirms that Hannah is not there. As Carly snoops around Hannah's room, Hannah arrives at Kelly's to pack her things. Hannah enters her apartment to find Carly inside. When Hannah threatens to call the police, Carly urges her to do so and claims that the authorities would never arrest Mrs. A.J. Quartermaine. After a few snide insults and veiled threats, Carly leaves Hannah's room. As soon as Carly is gone, Hannah begins to pack her belongings.

At the Port Charles Grille, the FBI arrests Sonny for RICO violation. Jason telephones Benny and instructs him to clean up the office. Jason requests that Alexis defend Sonny, Jax becomes very angry. Despite his ranting about the evils of Sonny, Alexis agrees to meet with Jason and Sonny at the police department. Alexis and Jason soon arrive at the PCPD. When Carly attempts to visit Sonny at his penthouse, she is greeted by the FBI and dragged to the police department. At the police station Carly is going off on Hannah, saying that it is Hannah's fault that Sonny got arrested. She pushes and gets in Hannah's face and Hannah pushes back. Jason talks to Hannah, she says she can handle the Feds, he says no she can't she has to be careful as to what she says or she could be the reason that Sonny lands in prison. The Feds tell Jason that they want to see his tax papers and talk to him in the morning.

Jason is talking to Carly at the station when she gets the call that her mother was in the hospital (after Bobbie and Jerry are in a car accident) and rushes to be by her side. When she gets to the hospital she sees Jax and Chloe and starts in on Jax saying how his brother is likely ok and her mother is fighting for her life. Chloe breaks in and tells Carly what that it is the other way around. She tells Jax she is sorry and goes to find Bobbie. She is sitting with Bobbie, telling her how much she loves her and how she understands that Bobbie loves her and is on her side, maybe because she is a mother herself now. AJ comes and they step outside the room to talk. She thanks him for calling her. He says he was hoping that they could come here together, where were you. She makes up an excuse and then he asks if she is ready to come home now. She tells him she wants to sit with Bobbie for some more and he says fine. We see Carly sitting at Bobbie's bedside with her head on the pillow beside her mom's.

Jason and Juan are sitting in Kelly's Jason is telling Juan about Sonny getting arrested and in jail. Juan can't figure out why Sonny would worry about how he found out. Hannah comes over and is upset, Juan asks her why is she picking a fight with everyone and she responds you know how it feels now. Juan still cannot understand why Sonny sent Jason to tell him. Jason explains that is how Sonny is, he treats everyone with respect even if they don't deserve it.

Jason also comes to visit Sonny and tells him that everything is in its place, that the Feds can't have anything. Sonny confides that he's going nuts in there and needs to get out.

Jason met with Carly and she tells him that Hannah had a gun. He begs her to drop it, and she says that she heard him with a funny smile on her face. She goes inside Kelly's and takes the keys out of the cash register like she's going into Hannah's room again. A.J. comes in and asks her what she's doing and that they've been invited to some dinner with a Saunders guy that was charmed by his wife. She puts the keys away and says, "Later."

Hannah storms into the Feds office and asks why they blew her bust. SURPRISE! she's an agent.

At the PCPD, Jason assures Sonny that Benny has taken care of things and that the books are clear. When Jason doubts Hannah, Sonny maintains that Carly is not a reliable source of information. Sonny then expresses his confidence that bail will be posted in the morning and that he will be able to leave the police station.

Carly confronts Hannah in front of Kelly’s, calling her a slut and provoking her. Hannah starts to shove her, and Jason walks up. Jason tells her to leave Carly alone and totally takes Carly’s side. Carly whines that everything she touches gets ruined. Jason tries to comfort her. They talk about how Carly doesn’t really tell or show Bobbie how much she loves her. They rehash that Carly thinks Jason shouldn’t trust Hannah.

Carly goes by the hospital to check on Bobbie and bring her lunch. They have a sweet talk, where Carly tells her she loves her. Cut to Jax still talking to Jerry. Jerry wakes up, Jax screams for Bobbie, who leaves Carly in the middle of their heart-to-heart, looking a little put off.

Jason and Sonny talk about Brenda. Luke asks Jason to come clean about Sonny and tell him what is going on, because he don't want to go down with him. Jason says he can't, and that they will no more in court tomorrow. Sonny will be ok as long as the FBI don't come up with anything more. Then Luke begs Jason to get out while he can, and not go down with Sonny. Jason refuses and says that he is standing by his best friend no matter what the consequences may be.

AJ took Carly to the docks to show her a new crane he bought for ELQ. Carly pretended to be so proud that AJ is being such a great CEO. In return AJ gave Carly a necklace for being such a wonderful and supporting wife, he told her he wouldn't be able to do this without her and Michael. While Jason sat in the background hearing everything. Carly went up to Jason and told him how she is being such a good wife, and trying to be supportive, but she thinks everything is just stupid (his crane). They talked about Sonny and if Jason is going to get in trouble, and she said that he could blame everything on her (because she is Legally insane) and that she would do anything to defend him. Then she told him how much she misses him and how much Michael misses his "REAL" father, and Jason asked her not to say stuff like that and she said that she is only speaking the truth. Then she gave Jason a picture of her and Michael in the garden. Carly and Hannah mix it up again outside of Kelly's, Hannah telling her to stay away and Carly calling her names. Jason comes along and breaks it up. Carly rehashes that she knows this girl is trouble since the day her and her come hither lashes came to Port Charles. She begs Jason to let her help him if he gets arrested. She would lie or do anything for him, even be a character witness. Jason tells her that he will ask for her help if she stays away from the hearing today. She agrees. She goes into Kelly's and once Tammy is in the back she takes the keys and goes upstairs. She looks around Hannah's room and finds the lockbox in the closet.

Jason comes by Kelly's looking for Carly and Tammy says that she left while she was in the back. Jason looks upstairs and asks if he can go knock on Hannah's door. Tammy says sure.

In Hannah's room, Carly tries to open the locked box. Downstairs, as Jason starts off in search of Carly, Bobbie enters the restaurant. Bobbie and Jason are talking when Tammy notices that the set of master keys is missing from the register. Bobbie catches on to Carly's scheme and goes upstairs to find her. She finds Carly in Hannah's room and demands to know why Carly is interfering in the business of others. Bobbie refuses to believe that Hannah has been untruthful and belittles Carly for attempting to manipulate Sonny and Jason. Bobbie shares the news of her impending marriage to Jerry with her daughter. Carly is not supportive and tells her mother to share the good news with her new, lying, sneaky friend Hannah. Appropriately enough, Hannah picks that very moment to walk through the door. Hannah is very pleasant to Bobbie before heading upstairs to bed.

Montage of scenes as Jason cautions Sonny (who is out on bail) that he needs to be extra careful. When Jason urges Sonny to cool off with the business for awhile, Sonny refuses to do so. This is interspersed with scenes between Hannah and the Feds.

Carly is at Kelly's and Tammy tells her to stay on that side of the counter because Hannah is her friend and if Carly ever breaks in her room again, she'll have to deal with Tammy. Bobbie comes out and Carly asks her to give her the key to Hannah's room. Bobbie laughs and asks if Carly thought she was bluffing before. They talk about how she wants to protect Sonny, blah blah and she's in a loveless marriage. Carly leaves and meets up with Jason on the docks. She tells him how she wants to protect Sonny and that Jason could break in and get that strongbox. He says he won't do it and it's no good warning someone off of someone they love. Everyone told him he was crazy to get involved with Carly, but he didn't listen. She gets in close and caresses his face saying "We showed them didn't we?" and Chloe walks by, seeing them. They pretend it was about old schedules for Michael's daddy time and Carly asks her not to mention to A.J. that she saw them together.

Sonny and Jason are on the docks. Jason warns Sonny to watch out for Luke's mood, because Luke is really pissed about the IRS thing. Alexis comes up to meet with her client, and Jason leaves.

At the penthouse, Sonny tells Jason to arrange a transfer of funds from the keys because they are low on operating capitol. Jason thinks that they should wait until things cool down with the FBI, but Sonny insists that it is business as usual. Jason is not happy when Sonny tells him that Hannah is upstairs. He clearly thinks that it is a bad idea for them to be discussing "business" with her around, even if she isn't in the same room. Jason leaves to talk to Benny about the transfer.

At the Q's, AJ comes in complaining about his job. He asks Carly if she learned anything in nursing school to help take care of all his aches and pains. Carly says that if he had to rely on her bedside manner, he is in trouble. AJ says that he's noticed. Carly asks what that is supposed to mean. AJ says that it is just a commentary on the past few nights. Carly says that he has just seemed so tired. AJ says that he is getting sick and tired of being dismissed by Edward. He is tired of not being appreciated. He wants to take Carly on a trip. Carly comes up with all kinds of excuses and AJ has a response for every one. Carly tells AJ that she has a life and things that mean something to her. AJ says that he thinks that their marriage should be at the top of her list and he doesn't think that it is. Carly sarcastically asks if he thinks that because she doesn't stop in her tracks when he snaps her fingers. AJ tells Carly that she can't even pencil him into her bed for a night. He didn't marry her as a social convenience and he hopes that not what she had in mind.

Carly arrives at Sonny's. He is less than thrilled to see her and tells her to make it brief. Carly says that she has a message for him. His girlfriend is taking him for a ride, and she has proof. Sonny asks to see Carly's proof. Carly tells him about catching Hannah in the alley with her ex-boyfriend. Sonny says that Hannah already told him about it. She says that whatever Hannah told him was a lie. He asks Carly what they were doing in the alley. He asks what they were saying. Carly confesses that she couldn't hear, but that Hannah freaked out when she saw Carly. Then Carly tells Sonny how she searched Hannah's room and found the locked box. She tells him about her having a 9 millimeter gun. Sonny angrily asks if that is it. Carly says that she just thought he deserved to know the truth. Sonny is furious that Carly has been stalking Hannah. He angrily asks her what kind of payback she should get. Carly tries to apologize for upsetting Sonny, but he is furious with her for chasing Hannah away. He tells Carly that she is a sick tramp. This makes Carly mad and they start to argue. He accuses her of sabotaging his life. Sonny roughly grabs Carly's arm and she demands that he let her go. They are screaming at each other as Jason enters the apartment, he steps in between them and tells Sonny to let her go. Sonny screams at Carly and calls her a little whore. Jason leaps to Carly's defense and demands to know why Sonny thinks that he can treat his friend in such a manner. Sonny is furious that Carly accused Hannah of lying to him and argues vociferously with Jason until Carly interrupts. Sony accuses Jason of having nothing and living alone in a baby proofed apartment. Jason goes to hit Sonny, Carly steps in between them saying that Hannah isn't worth it. Sonny smugly retorts that Carly isn't worth the effort. She says she is sorry again and that she shouldn't have come. Sonny angrily departs. When Carly tries to convince Jason that she is right about Hannah, Jason maintains that it is not her place to accuse the woman that Sonny loves of wrongdoing. He is very angry. He tells her she has only made it worse as now Sonny will have to stand by Carly just to prove that she is wrong about Hannah. Jason then warns Carly not to make him choose between her and Sonny because it would be a big mistake.

A.J. guilt-trips Carly into proposing a getaway. When Carly is dismayed that A.J. seems to think that their marriage should come as easily as Leticia and Reginald's relationship, A.J. apologizes and hugs his wife. The two then agree to spend the evening at a bed and breakfast outside of town.

Jason is at Kelly's. Liz sits and they talk about her taking art classes and she’s nervous about starting college. Lucky was always her encouragement and she is not sure how she is going to do without him. They talk about what they had/have as career goals and she leaves feeling better with his order. Mike comes by and gets the same version about what happened that Sonny told him. But then Jason tells him that he is afraid that Hannah is bad for Sonny, he is making mistakes because his mind is not on his work. Sonny is telling Hannah things that he would never even tell Brenda.

Jason and Sonny talk. Jason voices his concerns about Hannah and how Sonny is missing things. Sonny asks if Jason thinks he can run things better than he can. Jason tells him that he wants to work for Sonny, he would follow any order even if he thought it was wrong, he would die for him, but it should not get that far. Sonny has to pay attention. Sonny doesn't see anything wrong, every time he has made a mistake Jason has caught it and fixed it.

Carly comes into Kelly's and tells Bobbie that she can't marry Jerry Jacks. Carly is telling her mom that life is not like she thought it would be, in love with one man and married to his brother. She likes AJ a lot, always has, but he is driving her nuts trying to make the marriage work. She asks her mom if she can image loving anyone else for the rest of her life? The answer is I wouldn't marry Jerry if I didn't love him. Why do you want to ruin the rest of your life? Why does everyone get to change but me, asks Carly. Bobbie tells her to focus her energy on helping her find the perfect wedding dress for her and the matron of honor. Carly talks to Tammy about Hannah, she tries to explain that she is only trying to help Sonny. Tammy tells her that she has known Sonny a long time and if he was really worried about this guy then they would never see him again. She tells Carly about the college Hannah went to and that she flunked out because of the relationship with a professor. Carly leaves and makes a reservation to go to San Diego.

Sonny is not happy to learn from Jason that Jerry Jax is doing business with Moreno. Jason says that he saw Sorrel making a cash deposit at Jerry's bank. Sonny is outraged that Sorrel is alive and well. Benny promised him that he had taken care of him. Sonny tells Jason that Juan and Emily are the only two people who can identify Sorrel as the guy who beat up Juan. Jason says that he knows and wants to know what he should do about it. Sonny says that they can't do much while he is under Federal investigation. He doesn't want a turf war. Jason says that doing nothing is not an option if Emily is in danger. Sonny assures Jason that Emily is safe. Sorrel knows that Emily has kept quite so far and that she is under Sonny's protection. Sonny then asks to see the proof Jason has regarding Jerry Jax. Jason produces several documents and shows them to Sonny. Sonny looks them over and says that they are even good enough to convince Jax. Jason asks Sonny why he would give them to Jax. Jason can't believe that Sonny is going to give Jax proof that Jerry is in cahoots with Moreno. Jax hates his guts. He will use anything he can against him. Sonny explains to Jason that he owes Alexis. She didn't want him as a client and she took him on against her husband's wishes. Alexis has come through for him and all she wants in return in information on Jerry Jax's activities. He tells Jason that the information has to be delivered to Alexis tonight.

Before they can talk further, Hannah arrives. She comes in carrying a bag of freshly picked apples. She greets Jason warmly and he nods in response. Hannah tries to draw Jason into a conversation, but he responds with short answers. He walks away and tells Sonny that he will take care of his errand. As Jason starts to leave, Hannah asks him if there is something wrong. They used to be friends and now every time she walks into a room, he walks out. She wants to know if it was something she did. When Jason says no, she asks if Carly did something to turn him against her. Hannah tells Jason that it doesn't surprise her that Carly would try to turn him against her. Jason tells Hannah that if he gets quiet when she walks in, it is simply because there are some things that she is just better off not knowing. With that, he excuses himself to run the errand for Sonny. After he goes, Sonny explains that Jason doesn't lie, but he is the master of avoidance. Hannah says that Jason used to trust her and it just makes her sad that Carly interfered. Things are so good or her right now, she just worries that something is going to go wrong. Sonny tells her that some things just get better and better.

Carly is in disguise in San Diego and is trying to track down Hannah's ex-boyfriend. She is somewhat surprised to learn that he no longer works at the University in San Diego. She tries to pump the Records clerk for more information. He is surprisingly helpful and checks the department website. He tells Carly that Professor Bradburn is on sabbatical and unreachable, but suggests that she check with the department. Hannah charms the clerk out of a yearbook saying that it will help her recognize the people she is looking for. Carly eagerly flips through the college yearbook and finds Hannah's photo. She then quickly turns to a photo of Professor Bradburn. She is shocked to discover that the real Professor Bradburn looks nothing like Hannah's "ex-boyfriend". Carly discreetly tears the professor's photo out of the yearbook and stashes it in her purse. She thanks the Records clerk for his help and leaves.

Jason arrives at Jax's penthouse and asks for Alexis. Alexis asks Jason why he is there and Jason explains that Sonny sent him. Alexis is somewhat surprised that Sonny told Jason about investigating Jerry. Jason explains that Sonny sent him to find out what Jax needed to know because Sonny can't leave the country. Jax asks what Jason found out. Jason says that Jerry is still laundering money for the Organization.

Jason arrives at the Quartermaine mansion after receiving a pleading phone call from his sister. Emily tells her brother that she and Juan saw Sorel on the docks earlier in the day. Despite Juan's insolent manner, Jason promises to take care of the situation. He then tells the two teenagers not to leave the mansion until further instructed. Meanwhile, Carly arrives in Port Charles with proof that Hannah's "ex-boyfriend" is not who he claims to be. She roams the Quartermaine home looking for her family when Jason enters the house from the patio in an attempt to keep her from finding Emily and Juan. However, Jason departs before Carly has an opportunity to show him the yearbook photograph of Professor Bradburn.

Hannah is getting ready to go for her run. She stops when she sees Carly and tells her that it is time they settle things between them. Hannah tells her that all she did was get Jason to believe her, and that Sonny will not even let her cross his doorsteps anymore. Hannah goes for her run and meets up with Larkin, he tells her that by Friday they will have all the proof they need on Sonny, but will not tell him anything more. Carly runs into Jason spilling a glass of water on him, she tries to show him the proof she has on Hannah but he will have none of it. Sonny is telling Hannah that the FBI has nothing on him and that on Friday his lawyer will be getting them to drop the charges because of that fact. The only thing that keeps bothering him about it is why they bothered to arrest him when they didn't have anything on him, it is as if they are not telling everything they know. Jason comes by and Hannah asks him again what is the matter, he tells her nothing he just has to talk to Sonny. She leaves and Jason tells him that Emily and Juan saw Sorel on the docks.

Jason is talking to Bobbie and notices she made an error in her bookwork, she tells him it is understandable today would have been BJ's thirteen birthday. She gets him a coffee and he does her bookwork. Bobbie tells him how much Monica and Alan used to brag about him going to be such a good doctor, but they never said how good he was with numbers, likely so his grandfather wouldn't put him to work. Jason leaves and on the docks he stops to watch AJ and Michael. AJ is showing Michael the crane he brought for ELQ. He tells him that one day ELQ will be his and that Carly will realize that she loves him more than anyone else and they will be the family they deserve. They leave and Jason runs to pick up Michael's hat that got left behind. Liz has been watching Jason and can see his pain. They talk about their past and about Robin. Then they go for a bike drive.

Jax goes to visit Sonny. "This situation with Jerry, can you make it go away?" Jax asks. "All I did was follow the paper trail, the Feds will be able to do the same. It is too late, if you came to me before I might have been able to help." Sonny responds. "But even if you could you wouldn't right?" accuses Jax. Sonny says Jerry is in to deep to get out, he is going down. . Hannah comes in and Jax leaves. They kiss and they make dinner plans. She asks about why Jax was here. He tells her it was business and the less she knows the better. She is worried about Sonny doing any business with Jax. He assures her that it is nothing. She just wants to make sure that nothing is going to happen in the next 24 hours that would hurt him at his hearing. Hannah overhears that a shipment is coming in that night. She makes an excuse to leave for some vanilla. On the dock she pays a bum to make a call and warn Sonny and Jason that the shipment is being watched. She comes back as the phone rings, she makes sure Sonny answers it. It is the tip and Sonny has to go. She starts to go through his desk, then stops and goes into the kitchen.

Jason rushes into Sonny's penthouse. Sonny is surprised to see him dressed in casual clothes. Jason shows Sonny the diamonds that he found in the warehouse. He thinks that Moreno planted the diamonds to try and frame Sonny. Sonny doesn't think that Moreno would spend that much just to frame him. As they continue to discuss the diamonds, Alexis arrives. She tells Sonny that there has been a new development. Alexis is delighted to inform Sonny and Jason that the FBI apparently was bluffing. Whatever they had or thought they had must have changed because the charges against Sonny have been dropped. Sonny is delighted! Alexis does caution Jason and Sonny that the FBI still has whatever they had before and that they will continue to dig. She also agrees to continue to represent Jason and Sonny as long as they don't commit any violent crimes. She tells Sonny that her bill will be in the mail and she hopes the coffee warehouse is doing well as she isn't cheap. Sonny says he will just have to rob a bank. Alexis' face freezes as she thinks for a moment that he might be serious. He grins and assures her he is kidding.

Once Alexis is gone, Sonny calls Luke and demands to see him right now. Sonny looks at the diamonds and says that Luke had better have a damn good explanation. The least he could have done was warn them. Jason points out that they might owe Luke a warning about Jerry's mob dealings since he is about to marry Luke's sister. Bobbie and Lucas don't deserve to be mixed up with the mob. Luke arrives angrily brushing aside the guard at the door. He demands to know why Sonny summoned him. Sonny shows him the diamond and asks if it looks familiar. Luke admits that he stashed the diamonds in the warehouse. Sonny calmly explains to Luke that if the FBI found the diamonds in the warehouse, things could have looked pretty bad. He asks Luke if maybe he could have come up with a better place to hide the diamonds. Luke explains that Faison is looking for the diamonds and he knew that Faison would not look for them in Sonny's warehouse. He tells Sonny that if it is a problem, he will move the diamonds. Jason tells Luke that he already moved the diamonds. He can't tell him where, but he can take him there. Sonny assures Luke that the diamonds will be safe where they are. Luke thanks them, but says that he will just keep them out of it. Jason says that he will take Luke to the diamonds immediately. Sonny cautions Luke that keeping the diamonds from Faison can only make things worse. Luke says that he knows, but says that this thing with Faison is kind of a grudge match. He wishes Sonny luck when he hears that the charges have been dropped and then leaves with Jason to get his diamonds.

Carly follows Hannah to Kelly's. After Hannah goes inside, Carly peers in the window and then turns to walk away. Hannah comes outside and asks Carly is she is looking for someone. Carly tells Hannah that she is there to visit Bobbie. She was peeking in the window to make sure that Hannah wasn't there. Hannah doesn't buy Carly's story for a minute. She tells Carly that she is thinking about moving just so she doesn't have to see her anymore. Carly suggests Alaska. Hannah gives her a sarcastic smile and goes back into Kelly's. Hannah is sitting on the docks when Larkin arrives. She assures him that they are alone and demands to know what happened to Sonny's pretrial hearing. She wants to know why the charges against Sonny were dropped. Larkin tells her that the evidence didn't pan out. Hannah says that at least it is over. Larkin says that it isn't over. Now that the charges have been dropped, Sonny will be more brazen. And Hannah will be right there, the loyal girlfriend. Watching and listening to everything that goes on. As Hannah and Larkin talk, Carly sneaks up and tries to listen to their conversation. After Hannah has left, Carly comes up to Larkin (who is just finishing a call on his cell phone). She asks if she can borrow the phone to make a call. Or better yet, can he tell her what is going on between him and Hannah Scott. She's fishing for details on his relationship with Hannah, but he is only giving her the canned story: he misses her, cares about her, doesn't want to see her hurt by the big scary mobster-man. Carly accuses him and Hannah of working together to con Sonny out of some cash.

Hannah encourages Sonny to take advantage of his "big break" and go clean. He tells her that he is careful and can take good care of himself. The conversation ends up with them in bed.

Carly comes over all flushed from her argument with Larkin. She invites her mother to a charity function. Bobbie says she'd rather have a GI series than go to one of those. They talk about Carly needing to focus on her marriage more. Carly's comeback: her job is to be the perfect wife, socially prominent, etc.

Carly and Jason meet on the docks and chat while she waits for her cab. Next we see Carly sitting outside of Kelly's talking to Liz about Katherine's death. This is a surprising scene as they are actually friendly. Liz invites Carly to bring Michael by Kelly's for a sundae. Carly then sees Hannah leave and starts to follow her through some alleys. Two rough looking guys come along and steal her necklace and purse, then throw her around. They hold her down and take her wedding rings. They throw her to the ground and she's crying give them back, give them back.

Jason is over at Kelly's talking to Liz about finding your life and doing what you choose to do. He could never be what the Quartermaine's wanted him to be and he's happy with his life choice. Liz wants to be an artist she thinks. They seem to be bonded over the many things they have in common.

Jason gets a call from a hysterical Carly to come and get her. He rushes off and finds her. He asks her if she's hurt and takes her back to his penthouse. Jason comforted Carly after the mugging, tenderly nursing her wounds. Carly told Jason that there was no way that she could tell AJ about the mugging because he would launch a full investigation and find out that she was in the alley following Hannah. She began to think of elaborate lies to tell AJ to cover for her missing purse, pearls and wedding rings. Jason spoke to Johnny and shortly after, he returned with duplicates of Carly's rings and pearls. When she asked how he had done this, he told her he went to the same jeweler that AJ had used to buy the “look alikes”. Carly then asked him to put the rings on her. He asked why and she told him to just do it. In a tender moment, Jason slipped the rings onto Carly's finger. After taking a shower to get the mugging grunge off of her, Carly came downstairs in Jason's shirt with a towel on her head just as Hannah and Sonny arrived. They immediately jumped to the obvious conclusion. (This is a great scene!) After hearing what happened, Sonny gets all concerned about Carly. He asks why she was in that alley, wearing all that jewelry and he tells her, rather sweetly, that she has to be more careful. Hannah watches this, Sonny's concern is driving Hannah nuts. Hannah viciously accuses Carly of setting up the whole situation to manipulate Jason. She rather rudely attacks Carly (who is a guest in Jason's home as is Hannah and she wonders why Jason isn't friendly with her anymore). Jason rather pointedly reminds Hannah that this is HIS apartment. Hannah (not getting the hint) goes off again that Carly is a manipulator and is trying to turn Sonny and Jason against her. Hannah accuses Carly of lying, just like she lies about where Hannah goes and who she sees. Sonny drags Hannah out of there. After they leave, Jason agrees that Hannah is hiding something.

Hannah meets Larkin. She asks him if he really thinks meeting in the open is such a good idea since Morgan's own personal psycho is stalking her. Larkin says he doesn't think Carly will be a problem any longer (like a little mugging is going to put Carly off for more than a day or two - he obviously doesn't know who he is dealing with!).

Carly is at the coffee warehouse waiting for Jason. When he arrives she tells him how happy it makes her to know that her engagement and wedding ring came from him and not AJ. Jason just smiles and asks why she is there. He is shocked when Carly shows him the yearbook photo of Professor Bradburn and tells him that that is not the man that she has seen with Hannah. Jason demands to know where Carly got the picture. He is not happy when she tells him that she went to San Diego. Carly says that no one would believe her so she had to get proof that something was up with Hannah. Jason can't deny what Carly is telling him and asks for more details on the guy she did see with Hannah. Carly says that there is no way that the man with Hannah is the same man in the yearbook picture. Jason asks Carly how she can be so sure and Carly admits that she talked to the man on the docks. Jason is angry at Carly for putting herself in danger. He says that he just wants to know the truth, either way. If Carly is right, it will be really bad for Sonny.

Sonny and Hannah are sitting outside at Kelly's. Sonny notices that Hannah isn't drinking her coffee, just using it to keep her hands warm. He teases her about being a coffee salesman's nightmare. He suggests that she go inside to keep warm and invites her to dinner that night. Sonny kisses Hannah goodbye and promises to be back later.

Hannah goes to the docks to meet agent Larkin. She asks him why Carly was mugged. She wants to know if that is his creative solution to Carly following her around. When Larkin doesn't deny the accusation, Hannah hands him her surveillance log. She tells him that it isn't safe to keep it in her room any longer. She tells Larkin not to keep her in the dark anymore. Hannah doesn't notice that she dropped something else on the ground when she pulled the log out of her purse.

Jason tells Carly that the question is why Hannah would want to pass off some other guy as her ex-boyfriend. Carly says that the main two reasons people do anything are sex or money. She is leaning towards money because what does a nymphomaniac need with a gun? And Hannah knows that Carly knows about the gun. Hannah caught her going through her stuff and Carly knows that Hannah didn't buy her story. Carly tells Jason that she didn't care that Hannah didn't believe her. She just wanted to get to the penthouse and talk to Sonny. But when she got there, the Feds were already there. Jason asks how she got up to the penthouse. Carly looks confused and says that she used the elevator. Jason asks if there were any agents in the lobby or any cars parked outside. Carly says that there weren't any cars and the only person in the lobby was the doorman. Jason says that Hannah told Sonny that the lobby was crawling with Feds. That someone stopped her and told her she couldn't go up and that is how she knew that Sonny had been arrested. Jason says that he will clear it up. He tells Carly that she was right about something being off about Hannah and he should she was right all along! Jason tells Carly that he should have listened to her when she tried to tell him. She just loves hearing him admit it. He says she needs to go home and take care of Michael. He will find out the truth. He offers to get Carly a ride home, but she says that she wants to walk for a bit.

Right after Carly leaves, Roy arrives. He asks Jason for a job. Roy introduces himself and explains to Jason that Jake told him about the warehouse. He also tells Jason that he just got released from prison. Sonny arrives and Jason asks him to come meet Roy. Jason explains to Sonny that Roy is looking for work and was recommended by Jake. Roy tells Sonny that he thinks that the only concern with his employment is that he just got out of prison. Sonny asks for details and Roy tells him that he served twenty years for attempted murder. When Sonny asks who, Roy tells him not his boss. It was a full grown man, and not an especially good one. He has met worse since and he hasn't killed any of them. Sonny says that he doesn't know Roy's story and he isn't going to ask. He expects all of his employees to do more than just work hard. What goes on inside the warehouse stays inside the warehouse. Roy assures Sonny that he can keep his mouth shut. Jason asks Roy if he can start that afternoon.

Hannah leaves Kelly's just as Carly arrives. Carly once again steals the keys to Hannah's room from the cash register and sneaks upstairs. With an apology to her absent mother, Carly unlocks the door and goes inside.

Meanwhile, Sonny has arrived downstairs to pick up Hannah, not knowing that she is gone. Carly is trying to break open the lock box. Sonny is downstairs talking to Tammy while he waits for Hannah. Mike arrives and Sonny decides to go upstairs to check on Hannah. Unaware that Sonny is on his way up, Carly continues to work on the lock. She finally succeeds and opens the lid. She spies the gun and the cell phone and says "gotcha".

Hannah is at the docks retrieving the book that she dropped when she was meeting with Larkin. As she stoops to pick it up, Jason walks by. He stops to say hello and find out why she is out on the docks so late. Hannah explains that she dropped her checkbook. She then apologizes to Jason for her behavior the day before. She tells him that she thinks Carly has made him doubt her. She asks him if that is true. Jason tells Hannah that she takes some things personally that she shouldn't. It isn't about her, it's about how important she is to Sonny and how important it is to keep her safe. Hannah assures Jason that she understands. Jason says that he is glad because he wouldn't want a repeat of the night Sonny was arrested. He asks Hannah what happened that night. He thought she was supposed to be moving in. Hannah says that she was, but when she got to the Sonny's there were cars and flashing lights everywhere. She thought it was the end of everything. Jason caught Hannah in her lie about really not being at Sonny's the night the Feds took him in.

Later, Jason told Carly about the lie and Carly showed Jason the gun she found in Hannah's room. Jason convinced Carly to give him the gun so he could return it to her room. He first copied the serial number from the gun to track it. Jason and Carly went to Kelly's to return the gun and were stopped by Mike outside (he is just leaving from having dinner with Sonny & Hannah). He told them Sonny and Hannah were busy upstairs.

Jason and Carly discussed what they should do about Hannah and Jason reminded Carly that they don't know why Hannah and the "Professor" are lying. Sonny continued his campaign to get Hannah to move in with him and while they were in Kelly's talking, Jason slipped into Hannah's room to return the gun. When he got the strong box open, he found the cell phone and pushed redial. Larkin immediately answered, when Jason is silent...Larkin questions "Hannah?" then Jason hung up.

Sonny and Hannah go upstairs and are about to enter Hannah's room while Jason was still inside, but Carly caught them in time and distracted them in the hallway by apologizing to Hannah for her behavior. Carly improvises that she is there with a peace offering...Carly scrambles in her purse for something to give Hannah and finds the Quartermaine opera tickets. She gives them the tickets. Hannah questions why Carly would give her anything, especially box seats to the opera. Carly says they are tickets for two and she gets that they are a couple and she won't do anything to further interfere in their relationship. Hannah said that if Carly was willing to make peace, she would as well, but refused to shake Carly's hand. Jason went out the window and as soon as they entered the room, Hannah and Sonny started undressing each other. In bed, Hannah again asked Sonny to retire from the business and he refused, saying that he'd tried retiring and it didn't suit him.

Jason and Carly met outside Kelly's and he told her about the call on the cell phone. Carly realizes that Hannah has a cell phone that she only talks to Larkin on. She left and Sonny showed up and thanked Jason for getting Carly to apologize. Hannah called Larkin and he told her that Friday was the last day, that she had to come up with something on Sonny, that it was show time. Carly scrambled to replace the Quartermaine opera tickets she had given to Sonny and Hannah, then spoke with Roy for a few minutes.

Juan's father comes to see Sonny and see Hannah. He tells Sonny that Juan is determined to remain in Port Charles, he wants Sonny's word he will not go near Juan if he is allowed to stay. Sonny tells him the best thing he can do for Juan is to take him home, but he would make sure that everyone knows that Juan has no connection to him. His Juan comes back and finds Emily and Juan together. He apologizes to her for last night. Then he thanks her for helping Juan. He tells them he will allow him to stay in Port Charles if he goes back to school, works, lives at Kelly's and if Emily's parents are ok with this. Juan and Emily go to see Sonny. He gives them a hard time about not staying at the Quartermaine’s like he said. He is really harsh on Emily, Juan is really upset and never wants to see him again, Juan leaves and Emily tells Sonny he could of least said he did it because he cares so much, she is told not to go there.

Jason and Sonny are talking on the docks. Hannah comes by and interrupts them. Hannah thanks Jason for helping them with Carly. He tells them to enjoy the opera and then leaves. She wonders if Jason will ever feel comfortable around her again. Jason and Benny are talking outside Kelly's. Benny and Jason are talking about the tracing of the gun. He says to make sure you report to me and no one else. Hannah comes by and is worried that Sonny forgot a meeting with them. She asks Jason to come by for a coffee, she really wants them to be friends again. She leaves them to finish their business.

Funny scene as Jason is late to the warehouse and Sonny teases Jason about being late as he is NEVER late. Sonny questions that there have been no earthquakes or other natural disasters that would have prevented Jason's arrival. He teasingly questions what kept him? Jason is getting uncomfortable and just says he was with a friend. Sonny laughs and says now he knows something is up as Jason doesn't have any other friends (obviously forgetting about Carly). Jason seems mildy insulted and says he has friends. Sonny wants to know who? Jason seems slightly stumped and then counters "Bobbie". Sonny is still curious and keeps digging when Jason admits it wasn't Bobbie he met with. (Jason could have just told Sonny he ran into Liz on the docks which was true but he was feeling guilty for meeting Benny behind Sonny's back about tracing Hannah's gun). Sonny teases him some more about how dark his world is that his best friend is keeping secrets from him. Poor Jason looks sick to his stomach, but Sonny is in an unusually good mood.

Carly continued hustling to get replacement opera tickets and AJ (who we haven't seen all month) walked in on the phone call. She pretended it was the charity guild and tried to talk him out of attending the opera. He argued that the opera was important because a number of major hitters, business-wise, would be there and he needed to schmooze with them. She cozied up to him and told him she wanted time alone with him, he fell for it and told her he would arrange for them to spend the night in an inn he knew of.

Bobbie and Jason discussed Carly at Kelly's. She warned him that Carly would be by for a visit soon and told him that she thought Carly's campaign against Hannah was an excuse to draw Jason closer to him. Jason told her that he was getting used to Carly and learning that she wasn't going to go away.

Carly showed up at Kelly's and Bobbie encouraged her to leave Jason alone and get on with her life if she really loved him. Carly countered by again telling Bobbie she was selling out by marrying Jerry and settling for a cheap imitation of what she once had. Roy was devastated when he overheard Bobbie and Carly discussing Bobbie's upcoming wedding.

Jason and Sonny discussed what to do about Sorrel with Juan being back in town. Francis brought Sorrel in and Sonny got all cool and tough guy on him. He told Sorrel that if anything happened to Juan or Emily, he would "eliminate the problem". Sorrel said that Moreno would welcome the opportunity to work more closely with Sonny and that he would be more than happy to arrange a meeting. Sonny blew him off and told Francis to escort Sorrel out. Jason told Sonny that Sorrel would be a problem.

Jason got the opera tickets back for Carly and she was very grateful. Jason told Carly that he owed her for the tip off about Hannah and that the fact that there was no info yet about the gun was not good, that it indicated that she probably was dangerous for Sonny. Carly tells Jason that she is sorry she went to Sonny with her initial suspicions about Hannah. She should have stuck with Jason till he believed her and not gone to Sonny. Jason has told her he needs irrefutable evidence against Hannah or Sonny will just chalk it up to Carly's vendetta. Jason tells her she has nothing to apologize for and she may very well be saving Sonny's life.

Hannah showed up at Sonny's to cook dinner and snooped in Sonny's desk while he was in the kitchen. He came in and busted her red handed, but she wiggled out of it by saying she was looking for his phone book to call Mike and find out why he was late. He told her to never look in his desk again.

In the warehouse, Jason tells Carly that Hannah's gun is registered to the FBI. Carly then hypothesizes that Professor Bradburn must be a FBI agent and that that is why Sonny was arrested. Jason telephones Benny to arrange an emergency meeting to discuss how to keep Sonny safe from the Federal authorities. After Jason hangs up the phone, he instructs Carly not to say anything to Sonny about Hannah's sketchy operations. He claims that Sonny will need more proof of Hannah's betrayal before he will believe them. As the two wait for Carly's cab, Jason thanks Carly for pursuing her distrust for Sonny's girlfriend. After Carly has left, Benny appears and Jason informs him that the gun that was traced was Hannah's. Benny vows to keep the shipments clean and not to even as much as hint to Sonny that something is amiss.

At the PC Grille, Hannah and Sonny enjoy a romantic dinner as Agent Larkin peers at them from behind a corner. Sonny surprises his lover with a key to his penthouse and urges her to use it whenever she chooses. As Sonny walked Hannah home after their date, he pressured her to come home with him or let him stay. She told him that she needed some time to think after receiving his key. She promised to come to the penthouse the next morning and make him breakfast in bed.

AJ cornered Carly as soon as she got home and demanded she tell him where she had been. She told him she had been at Kelly's and he told her he had called Kelly's and Tammy had told him he hadn't seen her all night. She told him she'd been sitting outside then had gone shopping at Wyndam's, but he didn't believe her. She told him that she didn't have to account to him for her time and he said, "The hell you don't." He told her he wouldn't be played for a fool and questioned her actions of the past few weeks, including going back and forth on whether or not to attend the opera. As they argued, Carly cleverly turned the tide and made him look like a jerk by pointing out how much she had changed her life to be a good wife to him. She told him that if she felt like sharing her day with him, she would. AJ told her that she sounded like Emily at her most defiant and Carly said, "What, that makes you like my authority figure? I won't live that way." AJ reminded her that she still had not told him where she had been. As Carly left the diner to go meet Larkin, Jason followed her.

Back at the penthouse, Benny told Sonny about a problem with a shipment and Sonny crawled all over him for not telling him sooner. Sonny was really acting on his paranoia that people are thinking Jason can run things better than he can. This was aggravated when Mike came in and asked to speak with Jason and hedging when Sonny asked him what it was about. Mike told him he would just leave a message for Jason and Sonny (getting more agitated) told Mike to just leave the message with him or did Mike not trust him to give the message to Jason? Sonny got defensive and wanted to know why Mike wanted to talk to Jason and not him and Mike finally admitted that he had taken a beating at the track and needed to borrow some money. He knew Jason would loan it to him and Sonny wouldn't. After a bit more bantering, Sonny opened up a little to Mike and told him how much he depended on him and Jason to let him unload and vent on them and still come back. As he left, Sonny offered Mike money for gas and Mike declined.

As Carly looked out the window and cried, Lila came tooling up in her wheelchair, asking her if she wanted to be alone. Carly told her how much she hated winter at the Quartermaine’s, how the snow covered all the roses and the white grounds made you feel so trapped. Lila asked her if she wanted to get away and Carly answered, "Why would I?" She went on to say that she had all she'd ever wanted, all she'd dreamed of when she was a little girl: nice house, nice clothes, nice jewels. Lila told her she understood perfectly. Carly observed that Lila was a lot like Jason and that she was a lot like Edward with her planning and scheming. Still crying, she told Lila, "[Edward] has hurt you a lot." Lila replied, "From time to time." Carly went on to say, "He didn't mean to. He just knew you'd understand, forgive him and try again. But what if that feeling never comes back and this is all there is?" Lila countered, "But dear, I'm married to the man I love."

Later, AJ went to Carly and apologized for his behavior, saying he just didn't want to lose her. Carly told him sadly that she wasn't going anywhere. He said he was going upstairs to bed and looked at her hopefully. She said she was staying downstairs for a while. Sonny called Hannah while she was out, said she must be in the shower and left his breakfast order on her machine.

Mike ran into Sonny at Kelly's and asked if Hannah would be there. They bantered back and forth, Sonny did the obligatory asking of Mike to leave, so Mike had a seat at his table. Sonny suggested that Mike get something going with Tammy and Mike said that he was 'making her want him'. Sonny asked how long he'd been doing this and Mike answered, "Since the Nurses' Ball." Sonny remarked that four months was a long time. Mike switched the subject around to Hannah and got Sonny to admit that she really made him happy. Hannah met Larkin and the two of them argued over who had more greatly compromised the case against Sonny. Larkin told her that the only way she could salvage her career was to get Sonny behind bars.

Hannah ran into Sonny and started to tell him the truth but they were interrupted by Roy with some emergency coffee business. Sonny told her to go to the penthouse and wait for him there and they'd talk later. Sorel approached Sonny, again apologizing about the Juan beating and offering a proposal to make amends.

Carly showed up at Jason's just as he was getting ready to leave to go break into Larkin's room. She insisted on going with him, and convinced him that he needed her there and was the only person he could trust to have as back up. Jason picked the lock at Larkin's and slipped inside while Carly stood guard. Almost immediately, Larkin showed up and Carly distracted him with a bluff about having information he needed. Jason looked through Larkin's desk and found a file, his badge and a cassette tape. He took a page from the file and the cassette. Back at the penthouse, Carly and Jason listened to the tape, which was of Hannah talking to her boss. Hannah is demanding answers about Sonny's arrest, about them stepping on her bust, saying she is going to send Sonny to prison and he is going to know who put him there, and that she was going to bust Sonny. Jason showed Carly the page with meeting times on it. Carly told Jason that there was no way they could show this all to Sonny, that it would kill him Jason insisted that he had to be told. Jason was insistent that he could not be dishonest with his friend. Later, Jason gently tells Sonny that Hannah is the leak that gave information to the Feds and that she herself is an agent. Sonny was tentative, but slowly came to believe what Jason was telling him and was devastated. After Jason left, he listened to the tape of Hannah's voice vowing to put him behind bars. While he was listening to the tape, Hannah knocked at the door, ready to tell Sonny the truth about who she is. Sonny answered the door with a big smile and told her he thought she'd never get there.

Carly runs into Hannah and tells her that she has spoken to "Professor Bradburn" and that she had been to his home. Hannah confirmed this with Larkin who reassured her that though she bore watching, Carly was only a pest, not a threat. Hannah told him she was moving in with Sonny.

Carly came to Jason's penthouse while he was sitting on the floor in pain over what he had just told Sonny. She said that she must be getting smarter or something, because she knew she shouldn't be there. She started to leave and Jason pulled her into his arms. Carly gets Jason to tell her how it went telling Sonny that Hannah was in the FBI. Jason says Sonny took it well, appreciated his loyalty. Jason feels bad for having to crush his best friend that way.

Hannah let herself into Sonny's with her key. Sonny is playing it cool and cruel! She has to tell him something, big buildup. "I'm ready to move in with you." He looks a bit stunned that that's all she has to say.

Sonny tells Hannah that she gives too much, and he hasn't given her much. He tells her he loves her. He even dismissed his guards for the evening because he trusts her. She has done so much for him, without question: followed him to a remote island, followed him to jail & never left his side, always believed in him, even took on the whole FBI for him. Mike thinks she's the best thing that ever happened to him & he just keeps going and going. She looks more and more guilty. He tells her, he's hers--she owns him now. He wants her to stay the night, but she wants to wait so things can be perfect. He says he'll walk her back to Kelly's. He sends her ahead to the elevator, while he gets something out of his desk. Sonny walks Hannah back to Kelly's. She worries aloud that now that he has said he loves her, she'll do or say something wrong, and he'll take it back. She's shivering, he sends her inside before he drags her back to the penthouse with him.

Mike talks with Hannah and he's all happy that she's moving in. She tells him she made her confession to Sonny and he was OK. Mike goes to Sonny's and tells him to not hold the ex against Hannah. Sonny goes to Jason's and tells him he's OK and that he's going to use Hannah against the FBI. He thanks Jason for protecting him and remembers how it felt when Brenda wore her wire. Jason asks how he's going to still be with Hannah when he hates her and Sonny says it's like a reminder to never let his guard down.

Carly's getting a taxi and leaving when A.J. wants her to attend a luncheon with him. She tries hard to get out of it, but the rest of the family comes in and bickers and takes sides. Carly finally just gives up and leaves. Francis meets Carly at Kelly's holding Hannah's stuff. Carly is stunned to learn that Hannah is moving in with Sonny. She goes to Jason and says that Sonny's cracking up. Jason tells her that Sonny is keeping her around so the FBI won't put anyone else on him. Carly identifies with Sonny about being with someone that you don't love.

Sonny told Jason that he planned to set Hannah up by feeding her phony information to take to the FBI. Sonny later pulled Hannah into a passionate embrace and they began to make love, but Sonny surprised Hannah when he ended up pulling away.

Bobbie introduced Carly to Roy and Carly realized that Roy was the great love from Bobbie's past. Later, Carly compared her situation with Jason to Bobbie's situation with Roy.

Hannah is persistently trying to get Sonny to make love to her, he tries to put her off but she won't take no for an answer. She kept telling him how much she loved him and how he could trust her with anything and he was just looking at her with this big fake smile that she would recognize as fake in a New York second if she knew Sonny half as well as we do. There was this one scene where Sonny was hugging her from behind and she was babbling on again about how the way she felt about him would never change. He had this look on his face that said, "Yeah, well you can bank on the fact that the way I feel about YOU isn't going to change either." He had his arms around her neck and up by her head and I was sure he was going to snap her neck at any second. But her jaws just kept a'flappin' and she just kept digging herself in deeper. Dig dig dig. Finally, Sonny managed to work up enough steam to give her what she wanted. There was a fade to black and then the next shot was the two of them snuggly on the couch and him with that "I want to kill this chick" look on his face. She cooed, "Are you happy?" and he answered, "I'm as happy as I've ever been." He told her he was going to go take a shower and asked if she'd join him but she said no, she was just going to hang out on the couch and relax. He went upstairs to take his shower and then tippie-toed back downstairs just as Hannah was traipsing through the fake file he left right on the desk. Even from the distance he was from the camera you could see the hate in his eyes as he watched her devouring the info. When he came downstairs again, she was dressed to go on a "run". Sonny suggested that he invest in a health club membership because it wasn't really safe for her to run alone. She took off and Jason came in.

Jason asked Sonny how it had gone and Sonny filled him in on Hannah taking the bait and said that he knew she had just hotfooted out to see Larkin and report what she had found. Sure enough, a couple of minutes later Jason's cell phone rang and Johnny confirmed that Hannah was with Larkin. Jason told him to keep his distance. He and Sonny contemplated how Hannah was going to look like an idiot by the time they were finished with her.

At the Q mansion, Carly is about to leave when AJ happens along and asks here where she is going. Carly is vague with her answer and then refuses to tell AJ when he asks directly where she will be. Sonny is alone in the penthouse thinking of what he heard Hannah say on the tape. He unlocks the desk drawer and is about to open it when Hannah arrives, interrupting his thoughts. She is carrying a bag full of groceries and asks what kind of mood he is in while she walks past him to set the bag on the table. Sonny doesn't answer, but opens the drawer revealing a gun. Hannah explains to Sonny that she invited Mike to dinner. Sonny says that is OK with him, but he won't be there because he has business with Jason. Hannah tries to get Sonny to change his plans, but he won't so Hannah says that she and Mike will wait for him. The “mixed marrieds” are still at Luke's, but are now betting on which customer in Luke's is Gertrude's spy. Ned confesses that he saw the guy that was following them on the way to the restaurant come in and he points him out to the rest of the group. They laugh together about the lengths they have gone to appear "married" to each other.

Carly tells AJ that she doesn't have to tell him everything. She asks if he wants to put a time clock at the front door. She thinks if he kept track of the hours she spent being his wife he find out that he is getting his money's worth AJ tells Carly that being his wife is not a job. Carly points out that being her husband was a pretty good career move for him. AJ says that he doesn't deserve that. He is just trying to make their marriage mean something. Carly asks if he could make it mean something other than her being a prisoner. She says that they are who they are and there is no use pretending that they are happily married. They are married and they are not unhappy most of the time. AJ says AJ asks Carly if it ever occurred to her that he might just want to be near her. Carly says no. She tells AJ that they have built a pretty good life in spite of everything. She doesn't understand why he can't be satisfied with that. Without another word, Carly turns and leaves.

Sonny and Jason are on the docks discussing their plan to trap Hannah. When the bust goes down and it isn't Sonny, Hannah is going to look like she doesn't know what she is doing. Sonny tells Jason that Hannah wanted him to stay home tonight. He figures that Hannah wanted to bring him in herself. That is why she asked him to stay home when she knows that there is a bust going down.

Hannah and Mike are making dinner together discussing Hannah's concerns about her relationship with Sonny. Mike tries to offer reassurance saying that Sonny is just tense because of the FBI situation. Hannah asks Mike if Sonny would ever just pick up and walk away. Mike says that it is a nice fantasy, but he doesn't know if Sonny will actually do it. He tells Hannah that Sonny wanted to try with Brenda, but it didn't work out. Sonny and Brenda loved each other, but they had issues. Brenda betrayed Sonny is such a way that he didn't know how to forgive her. Sonny arrives, unnoticed, while Mike tells Hannah about when Brenda wore a wire. He watches Hannah's reaction as Mike tells her that Brenda's betrayal was such that there was no way for her to win back Sonny's trust.

Jason is on the docks, when he runs into Liz. Liz is delighted to see him and says maybe it's a sign. Or maybe it's a sign that he is going to give her a sign. Liz asks Jason if there was only going to be one painting of Lucky in the whole world, should it be on the docks or with his guitar. Jason asks why there can only be one painting. Liz explains that she convinced her art teacher to let her do a portrait for her mid-term art project. She tells Jason that painting a portrait of Lucky was what got her accepted into the New York art school. Jason says that the docks are bigger, but a guitar looks harder to draw. Liz tells Jason that that isn't any help. She needs a decision. Jason asks why him. Liz says because he is there, he knew Lucky and she is tired of thinking about it. Jason says fine, and pulls a quarter out of his pocket. He says head for docks and tails for guitar. Liz watches as he throws the coin up in the air and then grabs the coin before he can catch it and says guitar. Jason laughs and says he is glad that he could be so helpful. Liz assures him that he was and thanks him.

Meanwhile, Carly has arrived on the docks. She stops when she sees Jason talking to Liz. Carly watches from her hiding place as Liz thanks Jason for helping her to decide how to paint Lucky. As Liz starts to walk away Jason asks if she is going to give him back his quarter. Liz smiles and says that it isn't a quarter, it is a good luck charm and says that she is keeping it. Jason watches her as she gives him another smile over her shoulder and walks away. Carly walks up once Jason leaves and asks what the thing with Liz was. Jason just shrugs and doesn't say anything so Carly doesn't push it. She really wants to talk to Jason about Sonny. Jason assures Carly that Sonny is fine. Carly disagrees saying that he can't be fine if he is letting Hannah live with him. Carly says that living with someone you hate and calling it love makes you feel like you are dying hour by hour. Carly wonders how Sonny knows that Hannah doesn't see right through him. Maybe Hannah knows that Sonny hates her and doesn't care. And if Hannah brings Sonny down, she can bring Jason down with him.

At the penthouse, Sonny, Hannah and Mike are eating their meal. They make small talk while they finish eating. Hannah leaves to get more potatoes for Mike. Once she is gone, Mike tells Sonny how nice it is with just the three of them. He tells Sonny that he must be doing something right to keep Hannah so happy. Sonny says that's the plan.

Sonny looks uncomfortable as Mike thanks Hannah for any part she might have had in bringing him and Sonny closer together. He assures Hannah that he will never forget it. He then excuses himself saying it is probably time for him to leave. Once Mike is gone, Sonny suggests that Hannah go up and get ready for bed while he cleans up. Hannah agrees and leaves Sonny alone in the living room. Hannah comes downstairs while Sonny is on the phone. She starts to ask when he is coming to bed, but stops when he turns and sees the look on his face. She asks if something bad happened. Sonny tells her that there was a FBI bust and Jason was taken in. His best friend is in jail and it is all her fault. She was the only one who knew about the shipment. She read the file on his desk. She is a spy. Sonny walks closer to Hannah and angrily asks her if she knows what happens to people that betray him. He grabs her head and starts to shake her while she is denying that she betrayed him and insisting that she loves him. All of the sudden, Hannah wakes up sees Sonny staring down at her. She realizes that she was dreaming.

On the docks, Carly asks Jason what Sonny thinks he is doing. He is crazy to try and "teach the FBI a lesson". She is also worried that Sonny is going to do something that will land Jason in jail. She is angry that Jason won't help himself. She asks why he won't do something for himself for once. AJ walks up just as Carly finishes speaking and says that he should have known that he would find her with Jason. Sonny wakes up Hannah from her nightmare. She was screaming, "I didn't. I didn't." Sonny wants to know what she didn't do. She said he had a dream that he thought she had stopped loving him...and she didn't. AJ says he's known about Carly and Jason all along. Since Carly will lie, he asks Jason, the original truth teller to explain what's going on. Jason tells him that he gave up Michael, not Carly, and if AJ doesn't like it, too damn bad. AJ tells Carly to come home with him now or not at all.
