The irrepressible Zordauch's Realm of Insanity!

SON OF A MONKEY!!!!
I had my site all perfectly created, with my Carpenters reviews and my fanfic. So I leave my site in the hands of two good friends of mine while I go on my mission, and what happens? Somehow, my password gets changed, and I can't get it back! So, here I am, starting all over again! Please excuse me while I redo this whole smegging mess!

Nothing trek-related, just my graveyard shift-skewed view of what can be improved upon by everyone but me. Self-centered? yeah, but that's the only thing people seem to respond to where I work. And the non-regular customers wonder why I snap at them when they ask a simple question. Here are some Golden Rules that I wish everyone would follow when they come into my store on my shift. Nope, no story yet, just an idea: If I recall correctly, Section 31 didn't come after Bashir until AFTER it was publicly revealed that he'd been genetically engineered... and Sloan had to have some pretty spiffy mental powers to slow down Bashir's efforts to find the cure for the Changeling virus. So, I figure, may as well keep the superbeings in Section 31. For some reason, I like the whole "Starfleet MIB" concept, and I'm most satisfied with the story elements I write that involve Section 31. SO, what if Section 31 was composed primarily of mutants, genetically engineered individuals, and other superbeings? Yes? No? Whatever.... Here we go again

THE MASTER OF INSANITY HAS RETURNED! "What the crap," you ask, "is that all about?" WELLLL... Realizing that "New Beginnings" was never going anywhere, I let things stew around in my brain for a while, thinking about the X-Men/Star Trek crossovers, hanging out in the comic store, playing some D&D, watching Kevin Smith's interview with Stan Lee, reading the Star Trek Encyclopedia... just a bunch of geeky stuff. Anyways, amongst other things, I saw TV Guide's list of Viewer Suggestions for How to Improve Trek. Some items, like showing real relationships instead of romances-of-the-week, were stuff that I agreed with--in fact, the heavy romance was why I didn't like the stuff I wrote. ANYWAYS. After seeing the first X-Men movie, I tried writing a crossover with New Beginnings. It sucked, but one thing I mentioned is that there are X-style Mutants, but they're either genetically engineered so that their mutations don't manifest themselves, or they're recruited into Section 31. WELL, what if mutants were allowed to remain as they are, and even allowed to serve in Starfleet? After all, the Vulcans (and others) have significant psionic abilities, Klingons are extremely resilient, and Bashir was genetically engineered, yet all serve in Starfleet. I'm not suggesting that we have individuals that shoot energy from their eyes like Cyclops, or Metal claws like Wolverine... but rapid healing abilities are known to occur. Bioenergy drain, like Rogue. Telekinesis, Telepathy, manipulation of magnetic fields, shapeshifters. None of these are far stretches from what we've seen in the First Four Treks (I'm handling ENT on a case-by-case basis), so why not? It's still just random ideas, but you can watch the evolution of Star Trek: Mutants here. Also, stand by for a better title. :P

Nothing new, just a comment: I am just taking up space. Why do I say that? Well, I would have transferred all my New Beginnings stories here, but I only completed one in the first place! And that was very heavy on my Harry Stu, so it was crappy anyways. Besides that, I'm trying to fine-tune New Beginnings, making some minor tweaks in the crew so that it'll fit in more closely with the current Trek paradigm--such as it is. Contact me if you're in the mood to know of my gripe of what Berman & co. could do (or rather, NOT do) to keep Trek from getting overloaded. Hint: "Having is not so pleasing a thing as wanting."

Oh, yeah. I have recently become converted to the film epics of Kevin Smith. I had just been working at a Circle K for a week or two when I first saw "Clerks", and it all kinda went from there. Snootchie-bootchies and bickety-bam.

Thank you for your patience as I deal with this.

Some warped "scriptures":
"Ezekiel 25:17"
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you!
