There are two schedules defined by either Community
or Healthcare Provider CPR classes. If you are unsure as to which
type of CPR class you should be taking please take a moment to
view the American Heart Association's Course Listings for both
Community and Healthcare Provider Training.
Heartsaver
CPR
The Heartsaver CPR Course is modular and teaches lay
rescuers how to recognize and treat life- threatening emergencies,
including cardiac arrest and choking for adult, child and infant
victims.

BLS Healthcare Provider
Course
This course is designed to teach the
skills of CPR for victims of all ages, use of an automated external
defibrillator and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. It is
intended for participants who provide heath care to patients in a
wide variety of settings. more |
