Seams by Susan is a home based business located in Memphis, TN.  I started my own business in August, 2002, due to a layoff by my former employer.  I have an Associate's Degree in Business Administration.

I took my first sewing lessons in Home Economics and continued with a tailoring class and I have been sewing for 38 years.  I continue to update my skills by reading, watching Sewing with Nancy, and taking further sewing lessons at my local sewing center. 

My grandmother taught me how to crochet when I was 12 years old and I have been crocheting for 41 years.

I took a knitting class in adult school and I have been knitting for 34 years.
