Mighty River If
Only You Could Talk

Mighty river
I stand in awe watching
you moving so fast.

I wish you could tell me
all the secrets of your past.

How many lovers embraced
here under starry skies.

With a smiling moon shining
in their loving eyes.

Mighty river's secrets
will always be kept.

About happy lovers together
or sad ones who wept.


When they realized their
love didn't feel the same..

Mighty river perhaps long ago
a lover gave you your name.
