RECIPES

I hate to cook. It's a huge waste of my gardening time. I mean...who thought up the idea of eating three times a day? By the time dishes are done in the morning it's time to start lunch! Then again! Ahhhhh!

The only way to cook that isn't too painful is grilling. Here are my grilling ways.

The first thing you do is light the charcoal and go back out in your garden. When you think it's about ready (30 mins) come back and spread the coals out, throw the meat on and go back out in the garden.

I use a Smokey Joe on the porch turned down real low. After a while turn the meat and go back out to the garden. When you just must do something about it put the sauce on and leave just a few minutes more. Take the meat off and put the vegtables on. Throw those thawed out yeast rolls in the oven.(Taste almost homemade) Take the veggies off and and eat.

Then go back out to the garden.

BAR-B-QUE!

True to my nature I take the easy way on sauces although I do make my own.
Sorta

MY SAUCE

One bottle of 57 Sauce
One bottle of mesquite flavored Bar-b-que sauce
One jar of peach baby food...trust me
One cup of honey
Half of a Habanero pepper
Two cloves garlic..minced

EGGPLANT STUFF

Peel the eggplant and slice in thin strips. Also slice one onion thickly. Quickly drop them in Italian salad dressing. Soak up to an hour. After the meat has finished grilling add the vegtables and grill till tender. Throw them in a pan with a dab of butter, dab of oregano, dab of basil, one clove minced garlic, one jalapeno and set on low to simmer. Go back out in the garden. Right before you eat add some tomatoes to the mix just so they get hot but not mushy. Looks funky but tastes great.
