My Personal Info Page

THE LIVING DOLL'S PERSONAL INFO PAGE
This is the page where I will tell you a little about myself (my god, I love that subject!), my wrestling resume and my background

I will give you a personal look at my background (lucky you!) and my pro wrestling experience and may surprise you with some of the top stars in the wrestling world today that I call "friend".

8-14-2009 - I will be doing a long overdue update as soon as I can. I have been experiencing difficulties accessing this site.
Let me start by saying that I am temporarily in semi-retirement due to an extensive back injury. I have undergone surgery on it, but suffered a reinjury in 1998 during an Extreme/Hardcore match, and so I will need to have the surgery redone. I hope to get fixed and be back in the ring very soon!

Once I am back active in the ring, I will have a section devoted entirely to the SWA and all our wrestlers including pix, upcoming cards and how to get exclusively licensed Southern Wrestling Alliance merchandise like t-shirts, hats, videos to name a few.

The SWA page is UP! Follow the link at the bottom!!!

Now, with that out of the way, let's get on with it.

Let me first say that I live in my comfortable Tennessee home with my lovely wife Suzie and we own a Pizza & Steakhouse. I started my Pro Wrestling career in 1984. My uncle Herb Welch (of Memphis Tennessee famed "Jarrett/Welch Promotions") got me started. Yes, it helps to know people, haha. My very 1st match was in June 1984 in Crockett Mills Tennessee (about 20 miles from Jackson) against "Flyin` Brian". Brian's now moved on to doing stunts and doubles in the movies (by the way, yes I won). I have always preferred to wrestle with independent federations, rather than a "big time" promotion, though I have had attractive offers. Too much road time with them and I have never liked living out of a suitcase!

I've wrestled with many of today's top stars in the business over the past 14 years, while they were on their way up. My primary federation is the Southern Wrestling Alliance (S.W.A.) based in the Tennessee/Kentucky region. I also have good standings in Mid-South Wrestling and have been known to do guest commentary for their shows. I wrestled often in the old WCCW (World-Class Championship Wrestling) based in Dallas Texas. While I was in the WCCW, so were Billy Joe Travis, Brickhouse Brown, "Natureboy" Buddy Landell, "Superstar" Bill Dundee, Jeff Jarrett, John Tatum, Jack Victory, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin (when he was "stunning steve" and had blonde hair haha) and I cannot forget Cactus Jack (a.k.a Mankind/Mick Foley). While I was in the I.W.A. DDP, Diamond Dallas Paige is probably the biggest current star who was there. While I wrestled for a division of the A.W.A., so did "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, Curt Hennig and Rick Rude to name a few. So you can see, my 14+ years in the business have been quite interesting.

Professional Wrestling was great around this time. The wrestlers cared more about WRESTLING than contracts and movie appearances. To borrow a term from THE greatest of all time, "The Natureboy" Ric Flair: "We Bled, We Sweat and We Paid The Price!" This is another reason I chose to remain with the indy promotions - We sell the `steak` not the `sizzle`. It sickens me to see wrestling promotions trying to "de-promote" each other rather than "promoting" their own. I'm sure you'll see me touch on this subject more on my news, rumors and updates page.
If you ever get the chance to see an Independent Wrestling Federation show do not miss it because chances are you will see the greatest wrestling on the planet!!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to read my personal information. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions or comments. Oh yeah, when I retired, I retired as S.W.A. Heavyweight Champion Of The World, a title I've had the pleasure of holding 3 times. "Chow 4-Now"
