Enzyme – A class of proteins which serve as a catalyst. They change the rate of reaction without being consumed by the action.

Enzyme Inhibitors – Competitive – Competes with substrate for the active site

Non Competitive – Binds to something out of the active sight

General Enzyme Function

Sucrase Enzyme - The sucrase enzyme converts the sucrose substrate into Glucose and Fructose (Sugar). The sucrose binds to the sucrase enzyme's active site with induced fit, converts the products, and then releases them. In this case, it is Glucose and Fructose, which are used as sugars.
