With Grady Little and Dusty Baker in their corner, the Cubs are following proven winners.  After coming within a game of the World Series, the Cubs are picking up the pieces and are building again. Whether the Cubs’ tower will reach the pennant is anyone’s guess.  Sammy Sosa’s presence in the lineup is another element in a winning formula that has been brewing on the North Side since last season.

The Cubs boast a powerful pitching staff with headliners like Greg Maddux, Kerry Wood and Mark Prior.  These aces will battle for the division crown with two Yankee cast-offs in Houston named Andy Pettitte and Roger Clemens.

Emulating success, the Cubs have brought in two stars from the World Series Champion Florida Marlins: Derrek Lowe and Todd Holandsworth.  The team has been very busy all winter and by Opening Day, they should put nine winners on the field every game.
