The village of Potistika is located in the southeastern part of the Pelion peninsula at about 53 kilometers from the capital city of Volos. The village has a beautiful large sandy beach surrounded by cliffs where you can find some shade if it is not already too busy and the sun shines from the west. In high season, many people bring their own umbrella, but as far as I know are let no sunbeds and umbrellas for rent. Also in the sea itself is a very large rock, which makes it an extra scenic beach.

From the beach you look out on the Sporadic islands of Skiathos and Skopelos and on a clear day you can see are also the island Alonissos. There are a few facilities including a beach bar and a couple of taverns and some accommodations in the area. Another beautiful beach, Melani, is not far away. Potistaki can only be reached with your own transport or a taxi to, as it is not on a bus route. Nearby, in the village of Argalasti, you will find all the other facilities that you need, such as a pharmacy and a medical center. In Argalasti is also the nearest bus stop.
