Kastania Lodge, Kastelli Kissamos in Crete

This is one of my favorite accommodations in Crete and even in the whole of Greece: intimate, inexpensive, quiet and with lots of privacy, but still with the good care of the owners, amazing Arianne and Raymond, that are so sweet that just for them you would want to go back. Kastania Lodge is a small complex consisting of one house, one apartment and one studio. Kastania Lodge can be found just above the town of Kastelli Kissamos, in the north west of Crete. It is situated on a very quiet spot in the country side and it looks out over the town of Kissamos and the sea on one side and on the other side the mountains and the olive groves. The small and intimate complex comes with a 50 m2 pool and a small bar. The pool has been placed in the back and a little bit away from the accomodation in order to keep it as quiet as possible for the guests that are staying here. It has been renovated and added to by the lovely and hospitable Arianne and Raymond that will go out of their way to make you feel at home.

A little bit more about Kastania Lodge in Kastelli Kissamos on Crete

The house or "Lodge" is a former stone stable with two floors, which has been tastefully renovated to a high standard. The 40 m2 ground floor has the living room and the kitchen / diner. Upstairs are two bedrooms with an ensuite bathroom. Besides a veranda in the back of the house there is also a roof terrace with a sea view. Next to the stable is the studio and the newly built apartment. Both of them have great and very large terraces with beautiful views over the sea and the countryside. The studio is really spacious and cosy with a complete kitchen incorporated. The apartment is next to the studio and has two bedrooms and a living / dining area. It is all placed in a serene setting away from any noise and there is a lovely garden surrounding the pool and the accommodation. You will also find beautiful shrubs and pots with flowers everywhere. You can lie by the pool or sit on your terrace with a book and get rid of all the stress, or if you like you can make a walk in the area because it is excellent for hikes through the nature. For people that like to swim in naturist style the beach of Falassarna is not far away.
