Your Day of Fishing Rates and Dates 2008 Fishing Report Fishing Report Archives

Greetings.

My name is Andre' Adams. I've been fishing Oahe and Sharpe since 1994. My dad guided the Missouri system for about 15 years and I took over 4 years ago. I love meeting people and the comraderie on the water. I believe Lake Oahe and Lake Sharpe are the Capitol of walleye fishing in central South Dakota. The great thing about fishing for these walleye is that you run into other species such as trophy small-mouth bass, trophy pike, white bass, channel and blue cats, and the list goes on with occasional trout and salmon.

I took last year off from guiding, went back to school and acquired 3 certifications in welding. All my apologies for not keeping the website current. I am only guiding limited days this year. Basically Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays starting April 16 through the end of October.

The guide business under my dad's name was known as Greg's Guide Service. It is now known and registered as Adams' Guide Service. I will continue in his tradition enjoying guiding folks wishing to fish on lakes Oahe and Sharpe here in central South Dakota. I am 41 years old and married to my gorgeous and supportive wife Kia, pictured below.

I have fished Oahe and Sharpe since 1994, to include a few years of guiding with my dad, prior to taking over the business. I love it! I love meeting new people. I enjoy the camaraderie that develops throughout the day and I enjoy sharing ideas and knowledge concerning the great sport of fishing.

My dad introduced me to fishing over 30 years ago. I can recall my great grandmother and grandmother telling me how, as a boy, my dad could fish 36 hours in a 24 hour day. I do believe I have inherited those genes.

So far, I have been more than lucky in meeting some great folks while guiding with my dad and I am looking forward to meeting and fishing with even more. To that end, for those of you who have fished with Greg in the past, I respectfully request you give me the opportunity to continue in providing you with the service he has. For those of you who have not fished on our great fisheries I am looking forward to meeting you and taking out on trips that will create great memories for you.

Here I am with my beloved, late friend, Dick Sterud, thank you for your brotherhood, competitiveness, and all the great memories including this special day in July of 1999 when we both captured a pair of Proud Angler Walleye.

Tight Lines,
Andre' Adams
