A Little Victuals

Being a skirmish scenario set during the late Revolution in the Americas.

Rules

This scenario is written for a set of wargaming rules adapted for the American Revolution from The Great Rail Wars rule set by Pinnacle Entertainment Group. The adapted rules can be found here.

Setting

Long Island, New York, 1776.

Yesterday there was battle. The Colonial army met the British soon after they landed on Long Island and, after a hard day of fighting, settled down for the night opposite each other.

The next afternoon a small group of Colonial infantry, lacking anything to eat, decided to try their luck in a cornfield just across the creek that seperated the lines of the two armies. They were half way across the field, in the cover of some hay cocks, when they came under fire from a picquet of British soldiers who had spent the night in the cornfield that had looked so promising.

Both sides slowly fed reinforcements into the skirmish, which quickly grew into a much larger battle.
