Below are links to web pages that I use frequently. Where commercial vendors are listed, they are here because I have used them and have had good, professional experiences with them.

Model Rocketry Associations and Clubs

National Association of Rocketry
The name says it all. This is a national organization for model rocketry. Membership includes a subscription to Sport Rocketry, access to their technical publications, and insurance.

DART
San Diego's model and high powered rocketry club is an official section of the NAR. A fun bunch of people, plenty willing to give advice and help out. Check the web page for flight schedules.

Model Rocket Plans

Jim Z Rocket Plans
One of the best sites on the web for BARs looking to recreate the rockets of their childhood. The library of plans here is extensive and focussed on getting you the information you need to actually build a given rocket. I've built two clones of classic kits from the plans here, and am working on another. Thanks Jim!

Ye Olde Rocket Plans
Another good site for rocket plans. The format of these plans is very similar to Jim Z's format.

NAR Competition Rocket Plans
A set of archived plans from various NAR competition winners.

Cyclone Model Rocket Plans
A very interesting page about building rockets that use a "unicopter" style recovery inspired by the maple seed.

Model Rocketry Vendors

Fliskits, Inc.
My favorite rocketry vendor, bar none. Fliskits brings that old home-brewed, grass roots, friendly feeling that I remember so strongly from my youth to the hobby. Jim Flis (one of the founders) has a strong presence on the web and is endlessly helpful. I just received my first Fliskit (the Overdrive) and can't wait to build it.

Recovery Technologies
Recovery Technologies makes high quality nylon parachutes with integral, sewn-in shroud lines. For a very reasonable price, they will make customer chutes as well. Deby has made a custom white nylon chute with the logo of the Fantastic Four on it for me. It's gorgeous and dead-on accurate. Now if I can just find the time to build the rocket to go with it.

On-line Forums

The Rocketry Forum
The friendliest, most helpful collection of rocketeers I've found on the web. As one member put it, it's like "rocketry university." If you have questions, don't miss out on this place.

rec.models.rockets
The rec.models.rockets news group is still one of the most popular and best used discussion forums for the hobby.

Other Personal Pages

Ninfinger Productions
This site has, among other things, one of the most extensive collections of model rocketry links I've been able to find.
