>>>>We have a whole slew of new tunage to unleash on the unsuspecting happy little mullet flopping campers. I hope they dont mistake us for a rise and shine breakfast at Shoneys and form a hungry mob to come for us.

>>>>>Late news
...We would like to congratulate former Guildsman Gavin Spencer and wife Mel on their "newish" baby properly named Owen (I think the kids 5 now, appologies for the lateness of the news) We would also like to congratulate former Guildsman Tom Gilliam on his plans to be married soon.

>>>>>Old but note worthy news.....
Commander Spaceley played Landing Pad IV in Phillidelphia back in October. Playing his Casio DG-20 electronic guitar/midi controller through his Roland JX-305 he joined stage ranks with former Guild Navigators "Digger" Doug now of Scattered Planets and Tom "TCB Hit Squad" Gilliam. They Co-Headlined with Famous former Hawkwind frontman Nik Turner. Nik was backed by Spaceseed from the outer galactic rim of Georgia. Spaceley and Scattered Planets also shared the bill with Cotton Casino (from Acid Mother Temple)on space-theramin and Billawtm on Acid Guitar with their band. Opening the set was the cave dwelling garage noise unit called Sub-Primitive with famous space rocker (and former Scattered Planets member)Bob Lennon on Guitarcheology and lead cavman howls.

On a final note Freak Spacely was featured on a Scattered Planets cover of Chrome's "New Age" that is out on a new tribute. This was released by Aktivator Records back in Dec. This is Charlse Vander Kree's label that carries his absolutley fabulous hardcore space rock band Jet Jaguar. The CD's are currently Out Of Print.

See you at Vilefest,Thats all for now...Head Chef MC Spaceley....

8.5.2005 ~ The Strolling Astronomers
Greetings Aliens, Androids, Spacemen/women and Time Travelers. Ok...so the last update on here that you see is from about this time last summer. Well alot has happened since then. Alot of down time and then straight into extreme busy time. We've had an array of extremes...reminds me of my last vacation on the moon. Wicked hot days and beyond polar nights...its the view that gets me every time though. Anyway, I've got things rolling around here so check out our My Space page that is now up, and also check out the new message board. Sign up for it if you will.

We should be dropping a few megaton bombs on here very soon so keep an eye on the sky, because you never know what these space pirates are going to come up with next!

7.6.2004 ~ Summer Time Blues
It's July now and the dry dock we were in...dried up! Its now all green foliage and blue haze. Hopefully the kind spirits will bless us so we may soon find ourselves departing for the great blue unknown.

We are still writing alot of new material, however a new drum architect is needed and maybe...just maybe a synth wizard. We will keep you up to date as things progress. You will be able to find us hanging at Vilefest...at least on Sunday when the legendary Misfits bring their show to Chillicothe.

11.22.2003 ~ Back in the Saddle Again
The Guild Navigators are currently in dry dock. We are working on another project...currently untitled! More updates on that later. This project is with ex-members from the spacey goth band Gossamar *James and Erin*.

We'll get back with you on anything new that comes up!

We still have Guild Navigator ~ Phase 2 Cd's available. If you've never heard Phase 2 its definitally worth checking out. Even though the tracks on this CD are a mix of studio and "low-fi"sound. This means some tracks are of mediocre recording quality. These were recorded primarily in 1997-98 at The Recording Workshop in Masseiville and on a Karaoke machine and 4-track recorder at Mark Delps Garage. The songs have a very unique style within the composition and Chris'approach to recording and to our brand of hardcore influenced space rock music. These players on this CD are Christopher G. Mead (my white bread mom), Doug McMahon (Scattered Planets), Jerry Peterson, and Mark Delp (A Slipping Glimpse) Lightening fast drums and guitar, strangley melodic space synths (analog and digital) and lots of insane, soul drenching guitar noisiness & effects give an overall dark, powerful, post apocalypse time warp gone out of control vibe to the music. Infuences range from early Metallica and various punk influences, Hawkwind/Nik Turner-Prophets of Time, Chrome/Helios Creed and other greats (and more loosely sounding groups such as God Speed You Black Emperor, Pressurehed, Acid Mother Temple, Killing Joke, Temple of Bon Matin. Look into this before this rarity is all gone (only 5 left)

8.1.2003 ~ Space Rock BBQ nearing!
Doug from Scattered Planets is throwing his 2nd annual space rock BBQ and we are invited to play! Now i must say that due to my shoddy navigation we have lost Oney, Alexander and Chaunce, but we keep on trucking through the universe trying to maintain a positive perspective on this adventure. This will be the Navigators first excursion out into a barely charted region. Practically unknown to the Guild Navigators proper, the Philly area was previously explored and settled by prior guild conspirator Mr. Douglous McMahon(Scattered Planets).

To find out whos playing click on "upcoming shows".

Filling in on the skins for this space rock extravaganza will be fellow Navigator Tom Gilliam. We thank him greatfully, and please wish us the best on our first trip out.

For now that is all we have. OVER AND OUT!!!

7.1.2003 ~ When It Rains It Pours
:: INCOMING TRANSMISSION FROM GUILD HIGHLINER 1 ::

We've picked up three new crew members in recent days. The strange and delightful Oney, Engineer Alexander "the Great", and Chaunce "the mad professor"! Things are going well and soon we should reach a port where we might be playing *as long as we have no more magnetic warp interference*. We should have more info at you as soon as we hit another dry dock!

:: END TRANSMISSION ::

6.17.2003 ~ Lunatic Interference!
Late last week during a trip into an uncharted region of this local galaxy the crew of the Guild Highliner met a bit of trouble. Due to a miscalculation in the apparent space wave differential potentiometer a surge of warp energy blew through the ship. Commander Spacely nearly lost his brain, Neutrino was nearly driven insane by strange visions, and alas Stink-O-Destructo and James B were lost to the great black void.

After the Highliner was halted and the damage was assesed we realized there was no hope for our lost crew mates and moved on. We then went into dry dock to make heavy repairs and a few upgrades. To pay for this we sold one of the highliners for a meager 1000 space euros and upgraded one of the audiopiles.

In the process one of the potential Navigator Girls was axed from the roster, and also a new song was hacked from this little situation *still love ya lady but this had to be written*.

As for future plans of the Guild Highliner, we are now on the look out for some new crew members to fill the open slots on the ship. WE have recently met a strange creature named Oney...we are testing his extraterestrial audiary senese to see if he is Navigator material.

Along the way we ran into the Evil Dr. Venkatachar and we had a mind war with him. Commander Spacely was mind raped in the process but we all made it out of that situation with next to no problems.

That about does it for strange news in the guild camp so for now we are signing out.

5.20.2003 ~ A Short Trip Into Time
Okay all you roving aliens and astro freaks. I've got a special treat for you straight from 1995. A track by the name of "Fiz Tank" fell into my lap after rehersal tonight. Thats right...A "MY WHITE BREAD MOM" track straight from me to you. In the future expect to see a memorial site put to this lovely band, but for now sit back and enjoy this joyous track!
