-Zero Dragon Episode Summaries-

Welcome to the Episode Summaries page. I understand the fact that my fiction is really very long and sometimes, readers just can't keep up with the length so they end up quitting. The main purpose of this summary is to be able to narrate in the simplest possible way the main idea or plot of the episode. Be reminded, however, that not everything that happened in an episode can be summarized here (I'm not good at summaries). Some details can be dropped, but I always try to be understandable all the same. So here goes...

Episode 1 - Bandit Nemesis: Zero Strikes

Prince Mignard, son of King Alexander and Queen Marguerite, finally returns to Dhor, his hometown, after five long years of studying in another far away continent. His parents arranges a feast in the castle for his safe return and also for the recent victory of the Dhor Army vs. unscrupulous bandits coming from a poor town, La Flance. He thinks that his parents use this gathering as an excuse to persuade him to find someone to marry, which he thinks is still untimely (he is quite uninterested in women). This results to a heated argument between him and his father the day before the celebration.

Meanwhile, a young mercenary named ‘Zero’ arrives in the same city. He proudly boasts about his being a member of Nemethia (a famous group of mercenaries) to the watchtower man, who first thinks he’s a fraud. The night before the celebration, he meets a bar hostess named ‘Tasia’, who informs him about the celebration for the prince the following day. Inside the tavern, he overhears a group of drunken men talking about a feared being called a dragon child who recently caused turmoil in a nearby town, Carinde. The dragon child was said to fight a group of soldiers all by himself and successfully overpowers them. The story alarmed Zero, proving he knows something about the incident.

The celebration finally arrives the following day. The people gather on the castle front waving to Prince Mignard with the ladies screaming how handsome the prince is. After which, the Dhor knighthood is recognized with their successful resistance to the threatening La Flance Bandits. One of the knights is new – the daughter of the late Knight Captain named ‘Lineah’. Her face is concealed with her headgear. Mignard learns that the Lady Knight is the newly-appointed Head Knight of the Dhor Supreme Army and that she never reveals her face to anybody. That fact makes her mysterious and Mignard is quite curious about it.

Unexpectedly, the La Flance bandits attack, having Tasia’s younger brother, Paul, as hostage. Instantly, the Dhor Knights with their soldiers rushes to seize them once more but is a little ineffective due to lack of preparations. Tasia attempts to go and rescue her brother herself, but Zero tells her that he’ll be the one to find him for her.

Lineah commands the soldiers to spread out. She heads to the front gate and meets with a masked bandit - Glaive, the leader of the bandits. She asks for the child, but Glaive refuses to surrender.

Mignard sees the battle and the burning city from the balcony of the castle. He can no longer hold himself and so he flees to fight too. The king and his adviser, Blanche follows too. When Mignard reached the city, he wipes out the fire by using his dragon artifact called the Elemental Dragon Pendant, which hangs on his neck (dragon artifacts are items that can summon dragons). The four-headed dragon is summoned as its water head [the four-headed dragon a.k.a. Quadra has four-heads = red (fire), blue (water), green (land), and white (air)] breathes out waves of water that extinguishes the fire.  The dragon eventually caught the attention of Glaive and Zero.

Summoning the dragon makes the prince weak (he hasn’t mastered how to use it yet), thus, King Alexander sends him home but he refuses. Altogether, they rush towards the front gate where Lineah, Kyle (another knight), and Glaive are. They try to fight him, but Glaive possesses a dragon artifact (Blaze Dragon Dagger) too. When all seems to be hopeless, a mysterious force comes from behind, countering Glaive’s dragon artifact. Two summoned dragons collide on the sky – one is made of light (Glaive’s) and the other was black. The black dragon defeats the Blaze Dragon, resulting to the dagger’s partial wreck. The one that defeated Glaive is no other than Zero, holding a forbidden sword on his hand – the Death Dragon Blade. The dragon child, who is believed to have the power to summon the dragon of death and destruction – Vandal, is the only one who can wield the artifact. Zero is, after all, the feared dragon child. He says that the artifacts must be destroyed, but his voice is completely different from the usual. It seems that Zero is just being manipulated.

However, after summoning the dragon, he falls to his knees regaining consciousness from being berserk. His palm with the sign of the dragon starts to bleed hard (the tattoo-like figure of a dragon on his right palm bleeds every time Vandal or Vandal’s energy is near or being used). Glaive is able to escape. Realizing that Zero is the long-wanted dragon child, King Alexander orders Lineah to kill him at once. Lineah agrees without hesitation, but as she does, Zero mysteriously vanishes.

Zero appears in the Southeast Forest. The sword saved him from near death. He comes up with the conclusion that bringing the sword along with him initiates danger and trouble. Because of this, Zero buries the Death Dragon Blade beneath one of the trees. The sword is forbidden, destructive, and evil. Zero vows to know himself first and soon, he will go back to wield the sword again soon – now for good.
